Ashton Lodge has a very unfair cancelation policy!!!! On 26th October 2012 I booked a two night stay at Ashton Lodge B&B , to arrive on 28th & 29th December 2012. Due to unforeseen circumstances just two weeks later on Sunday 11th November 2012 I had to cancel this booking, I felt this was enough notice of seven weeks, however... More

Both Brian and Anne provided a lovely and very welcoming stay. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and nothing was too much trouble. We were all well catered for, especially for an early Sunday morning breakfast before a trying cycle ride that day. Highly recommended and will look forward to staying again.

4 of us stayed the night before the British Heart foundation charity cycle ride. They could not have been more helpful, particularly making us a lovely breakfast at 7 on a Sunday morning and then providing a room so that we could have a shower afterwards. Would definitely stay again.

I was booked in at this B&B, but I was running late. I informed the host of my impending late arrival. His response frankly beggared belief. As he and his family were going out, there would be no-one around to check me in. They were not helpful at all and the attitude of the owner was most arrogant. They had... More

The accommodation in this case was only offered on the basis that the “guest” was able to check in between 5.00 – 5.30 pm, as we clearly explained that we had a family celebration to attend and would be leaving the property promptly after this time. The subsequent booking & payment was then made with exchange of correspondence between both... More

A friendly welcome, a comfortable room and an excellent breakfast - exactly what is needed on a short business trip (and good free wi-fi too). Brian is a friendly host and was happy to recommend places to eat - the pub up the road (the Willett Arms) does good food and is a comfortable place for a single woman diner.

This is a wonderful place, and Brian is a great host. Booking was easy, and I instantly appreciated Brian's sense of humour over the phone. We stayed in the room on the second floor at the back with a single and double bed and private bath. Room was very clean and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay.... More

My husband and I have just experienced the hospitality at Ashton Lodge B & B. We stayed in the twin room with private bathroom. It was a pleasure from start to finish! Booking was easy and Brian was friendly and stayed on the phone to recommend local places we might like to visit. Nothing seemed too much trouble. On arrival,... More

Stayed at the Ashton Lodge for one week and was made so welcome. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spotless. Breakfast was excellent and hot with nothing to much trouble for our hosts Brian and Ann. Highly Recommended
