Had no doubts that our second stay would be as good as our first and it was just as great. Only had 2 nights this time but still felt relaxed and so well catered for. The weather was superb - those 2 summer days in June. The great service, food and rooms are all down to the great hosts attention... More

Booked direct with the hotel and was made to feel pamperde from the first conversation. All the previous five star ratings by clients were experienced by my wife and I. Wonderful hosts, great support staff, very intimate and sumptious accomodation with outstanding food and service. Lovely setting with great walks. Just the sort of place for a romantic weekend. We stayed 4 nights in late May/early June. We have stayed in many first class smaller hotels, which is the kind we prefer, and this is one of the very best. The rooms are individual. Ours was a medium priced one, large, comfortable and well fitted. The quality of the food is excellent and the menu changes nightly. The service... More

We stayed for a weekend at the Old Rectory at the end of May. Every aspect was perfect, including the weather! Sam and Huw, our welcoming hosts, should be justly proud of their hotel, situated by the SW coastal path. Our downstairs bedroom was delightful, with a view over the beautifully kept garden. The food was excellent and served by lovely... More

The Old Rectory Hotel was excellent, the breakfast, dinner and wine were superb. Stayed in the Arlington suite, very large, also huge bathroom., bed was very comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Sam and Huw were great hosts. Wish we could have stayed longer. We shall be back. We stayed at The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow never again after staying at The Old... More

We stayed here one night on the way to visit friends so it was a last minute booking but what a lovely, lovely surprise when we arrived. A warm welcome, tea on the lawn with yummy cherry cake, fabulous setting. Stayed in the Westgate Room which was roomy and light and dinner was a good excuse to get dressed up... More

Lemon Posset is one of our favourite puddings too - refreshing and absolutely delicious! It's lovely to hear that really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere here and our tasty locally sourced food at both dinner and breakfast. We are lucky to be in one of the most beautiful and undiscovered parts of Britain and the scenery on the coast path is... More
