We stayed with Michael and Mary at the end of April. Their B&B is very comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. It is in an excellent position for walking in the Wicklow Mountains - only a few metres from the Wicklow Way. Even though we had a car it was no problem for Michael to bring us to the restaurant... What a nice place to find so close to a tourist hot spot. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. For breakfast we really enjoyed the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and the local brown bread. Mary Cullen looked after us very well.

This was the first Irish B&B that we stayed in during our three week trip in Ireland. It is a purpose built B&B in a very quiet location. The room was very well appointed and the Irish breakfast excellent. It remained one of our favourites at the end of our trip. While the hosts are not as extroverted as some,this... More

We loved our time at the Pinewood Lodge! We spent three lovely nights here in January, near the beginning of a three week holiday in Ireland (visiting from New York). The Pinewood Lodge remained the standard by which we judged our subsequent experiences. Michael and Mary Cullen are impeccable hosts: attentive, professional, not imposing. The Pinewood Lodge is new, solid... More

We've stayed in Glendalough many, many times over the past 20 years. In future we'll go back to one of the B&Bs in which we've stayed previously. Although the lodge is in Glendalough it does not seem to have picked up the welcoming approach that is so apparent in most of the village. It was certainly clean and well furnished... More

Stayed here 3 nights. Excellent lodgings. Walking distance to Glendalough site and trails and to a very good restaurant. Clean, quiet and rural but with all the necessary amenities. What else is ther to say? We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to friends.

The Pinewood Lodge is wonderfully located nestled up a hill and in such a quiet place. We arrived late afternoon and immediately welcomed by Mary who offered us tea and scones as we settled into the main lounge. We knew then that we had picked the perfect spot to experience the lake and mountains of Glendalough. Spacious, clean and comfortable... More

This is now our most visited B&B in Ireland (3 times) and we are most likely to come again. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped, the lounge is spacious and good for socialising with other guests if you wish, but the rooms are quiet too. Mary & Michael are ever helpful. Location is spot on for that early or late... More

We used Pinewood Lodge as a base for a 4 day stay whilst attending a wedding locally. Wonderful place to stay, and made very welcome from the moment we arrived. Michael and Mary could not have been more friendly and helpful, evening offering to take us to the wedding reception if we did not want to walk. The room was... More

Loved it and felt extremely welcome and taken care of so well. Beautiful place and location is gorgeous! This was our first B&B ever and in Ireland no less. We were welcomed with open arms and just in time. We were late scheduling this place due to being in the country and no reception. We knocked on the door and... More
