We had unfortunately been double booked in another b&b and the owner there contacted John at Heather House who fortunately had an apartment available through a last minute cancelation (On a Bank holiday weekend!) We are so glad that he did! John greeted us with tea and cake and made us feel welcome. The apartment was roomy, spotless and comfortable... More

My girlfriend and I had planned to spend a weekend around the Glendalough area as neither of us had even been before. We weren't familiar with the region at all but Heather House was recommended to us. From the moment of arrival to departure EVERYTHING surpassed our expectations. From the time we stepped out of the car we were shown... More

We have stayed in this gem many times in the garden of Ireland. We live in Dublin not far from the airport so its less than an hour on the M50 .The house is great but the private rooms/appartments at the back are the BEST value AROUND.Food is top class and we have recomended it and brought many of our friends... Have just returned from 2 nights in The Wicklow Heather - the owner John and his team could not have been more helpful and accommodating . The 'apartment type' rooms are modern, clean, well equipped, spacious and very warm! the views and environs are stunning ... well worth a visit and the breakfasts were good Irish fare all topped off... Our stay at the Heather House was absolutely wonderful. Two tired Wicklow Way walkers with no place to stay overnight (it is forbidden to camp in Glendalough valley itself) were warmly welcomed at this lovely B&B. We even got an off-season discount. Peaceful and quiet place with a lot of birds singing - and that is all you can hear.... More

We stayed at the Wicklow Heather on our last visit to Ireland and were so thrilled with our stay that it is the first property we are booking on our return to Ireland this year. The owners were very friendly and helpful, made a special breakfast for us so that we could leave early to get to the Wicklow Mountains... More

We had been searching for a B&B for a while when we happened into Laragh. Wicklow Heather was or first stop, and we were so surprised. The room was the size of a small house and so lovely! 75 euros for a night, and a great breakfast, it was easy to choose. If you're passing through Wicklow, stop by!

We booked here with 4 other friends and when we arrived we were given a choice of rooms, either in the main house, which looked lovely or in some newly developed apartments. Given that the apartments were being offered for no extra money we of course chose them!!! The room we had was very spacious, and modern, with good facilities... More
