We stayed here for one night, had a beautiful dinner and I took part in Sunday Morning's cookers class "7 Nights, 7 Meals - 1 Plan". The dinner was superb, almost too much food. The room was lovely, the service was very efficient and the people were great. I'd strongly recommend attending one of the classes. I'll be back. More

Just returned from nights stay and cookery lesson and absolutely loved it! Went with my boyfriend who gave me the weekend for my birthday and I think it really was lovely. We arrived in the evening and really enjoyed the 4 course menu...every course was delicious. If you're looking for the hotel thing this isn't really for you, but we... More

Catherine Fulvio runs both the Guest House and the Cookery School at Ballyknocken House which is set up in the Wicklow Mountains. My wife’s birthday present was to attend one of Catherine’s Cookery Courses. We drove down the 150 miles (240 Klms) to Wicklow and stayed overnight at the guesthouse with the added advantage of having dinner cooked by Catherine... More

Myself and my friend went here for one night. Catherine Fulvio is an admirable and successful woman. We stayed the milk parlour which I would highly recommend because it is alot more private than the main house. The place has a very old world feel to it also. The gardens veg/herb are very nice. The cookery course was good I... More

Recently attended a cookery course at Ballyknocken and stayed overnight. Course was given by Catherine Fulvio (from the Telly). Did the Italian class which showed me how to make fresh pasta - really easy and tasty. Food was fresh and simple to cook and we got to eat it afterwards in the house. House is great, old world, comfy furniture,... More

I went on a cookery course here a couple of weekends ago with my sister in law and we did one of the mains and desserts courses. We got to choose which table we were on and which recipes we made. My favourite was the roast duck dish which i’m going to make for lunch next weekend. We shared a... More

Where would I start. I really looked forward to our weekend foodie break which cost 450euro for me and my partner! What a waste of money! The rooms are quite nice but old fashioned and well if you enjoy cold showers this is the place to stay! Our meal on the Saturday night, you could not order what you wanted... More

We had a most wonderful time yet again at Ballyknocken House. Our cookery lessons were fun and we learnt a lot of good tips. We always looked forward to eating the delicious food that we had made after the lessons. Catherine and her staff made us feel most welcome and homely throughout our very comfortable stay in charming Ballyknocken House... More

Just had a lovely weekend break in Catherine Fulvio's Ballyknocken House inWicklow. Was lucky enough to have a clear dry day to enjoy the surroundings. Novelty of the weekend was the picnic that we took on our hike in the Wicklow Mountains - it was delicious and we certainly built up an appetite. Relaxed in the lovely gardens before dinner... More

I was here earlier in the summer with my partner. We read about it in a couple of magazines and heard good things from our friends. We booked in for an overnight stay and cookery class. The class was really fun and we both enjoyed it especially learning the knife skills - which we are constantly using! The recipes were... More
