Our family enjoyed one week at Rathellen House and had a fabulous time. The house is set in the beautiful foothills of the Glen of Aherlow & the Galtee Mountains and we enjoyed many walks/hikes near Christ the King and through sheep-studded fields up to Lake Muskrie. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable - down comforters and pillows... more

Although it generally operates as a bed and breakfast accommodation, my extended family of thirteen engaged Rathellen House as a vacation rental for a week in June, 2010. It was all we expected and so much more. We all enjoyed the comfortable elegance of the house and its amenities, and the children particularly enjoyed the ranging, well-kept lawns where they... more

During our recent fourth trip to Ireland we stayed at Rathellen House for three nights. There were six of us (3 couples) traveling together. The House is set in a beautiful country setting with views to the Galtee Mountains that are stunning. Stella is a wonderful host and the house itself boasts extremely comfortable en-suite rooms. In addition, there is... more

We have stayed in Rathellen house a number of times. My family are originally from Bansha and so it is an ideal place for us to base ourselves when visiting. From the moment we drive in the gate and are greeted by the friendly family dog we are made to feel so welcome. On one occasion we had my elderly... more

The Rathellen House is truely a home away from home and then some! The hosts, Stella and Eamonn were so gracious. They greeted us with homemade treats, coffee and tea upon our arrival. We found the rooms charming and very comfortable, you will sleep well during your stay. The kitchen was absolutely awesome! The manor was a little hard to... more

The Rathellen house was an amazing place to stay in Ireland. The location was perfect for traveling thoughout the country. We were thrilled with the accommodations, with the state of the art kitchen, lovely dining area and beautiful bedrooms. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would definitely stay there again. more

Terrific accommodations for our family group of 25. We were not crowded. The bedrooms and bathrooms exceeded our expectations. We did a lot of meal preparations in the fabulous commercial kitchen which has huge fridge and freezer space, and every utensil, pot, pan, bowl you could ever use. There are enough dishes , silver, and glasses for more than a hundred... more

Rathellen House has the wow factor! A large elegant house of georgian design but only three years old in a rural setting. We were upgraded to the master suite with a four poster bed and found everything superb. The attention to detail throughout the house was amazing. The breakfast served on fine bone china was a real treat and there... more

Rathellen house in one of the nicest B&B's I have stayed in. The house is a newly built Georgian house tucked away nicely in the country side. It is beautifully decorated and the people who work there are extremely friendly. The room was big & comfortable with a four poster bed. The bathroom is clean and big with a huge... more
