I'm nearly afraid to give a review of this B&B as I don't want to let the secret out! The location and setting is magical. I fell in love with Kerry here and will come back every year as long as I can. Breda is the perfect host and cannot do enough for her guests. It's a warm friendly atmosphere... More

We savored Breda's gourmet cooking, warm hospitality and cozy fire after a long, wet day of hiking on The Kerry Way. Absolutely wonderful in every way!!! More

Once there, you do more than see the beauty of the Irish countryside and way of life, you "experience" it. Breeda did a fantastic job of making sure Mike and I felt at home at Blackstone House. The accommodations were comfortable and welcoming. The surrounding area made for some memorable evening walks that we will never forget. We can't wait... More

Karen and I loved it. Pure Irish simplicity. Wonderful country setting which allows for peaceful reflection at the end of the day and a good base to plan your next days travels. The breakfast was amazing and kept you going until evening. Simple, but wonderful. More

We can't even describe how wonderful our time at Blackstones House was. My partner and I hired a car and drove to Blackstones House from Dublin. It is located in the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen! Our room looked out over the river. Breda and Patrick are beautiful people, so welcoming and fantastic hosts. Breda is an amazing... We had two wonderful nights at Blackstones House. Brida and Padraig were warm and welcoming. Our room looked over the mountains, the river and the 18th century bridge. The house is secluded and off the ring of Kerry madness but well worth searching out. The rooms are large and comfortable; the food is traditional Irish--plentiful and delicious. This is a... More

Found this thru the Farmhouse network. Breda Breen and her husband run this B & B and she runs a tight ship. It sits right on the river next to the bridge and it's in a gorgeous setting. I would highly recommend it. Very clean and she makes and serves the breakfast; traditional Irish farmhouse. You can tell she works... More

While the great majority of tourists dutifully "do" the Ring of Kerry, which is scenic and most enjoyable, few decide to travel inland into the mountainous areas of the county. If one does, there are rewards of wonderful upland scenery -- mountains, including Ireland's highest, moorland, and vast sweeps of countryside that delight the eye. Perhaps twelve or thirteen miles... More

The famous "Ring of Kerry" on the Iveragh Peninsula gets vast hordes of visitors every year, especially in the summer. But the most beautiful areas of the peninsula are some of the less visited wooded and mountainous areas in the interior. Blackstones B&B in the Glencar area is located in one of these areas, in perhaps the most picturesque spot... More
