Myself and my fiance stayed here last year, and am only getting around to review now, grounds are amazing, very serene and picturesque, you could walk around for hours on the itself, forest area, beautiful lake, rooms are very fie and beds extremely comfortable, love the old world style of the castle, and the welcome that was received by all... A majestic masterpiece set in country splendor. Lakes and streams, rock bridges, iron gates, perfect pathways, and romantic stops to sit and smooch. A lovely night at the castle, with fires burning in the hearths. Our impeccable dining experience was not to be outdone by the dessert and coffee in the library, and an evening stroll.

I try not to repeat what other people have said other than confirming that it is a great hotel and well worth staying in. I was surprised by how child friendly the hotel was. When we arrived, they had left a nature trail leaflet, chicken feed and carrots for the ponies which meant an walk straight after arrival for a... More

My husband and I stayed here while on our honeymoon. I was completly taken by how romantic the Ballynahinch Castle was. It was very hard to leave after staying it. It was a wonderful treat for my husband and I. The location was very secluded and the ground are very quite. What a treat for us as we started our... More

We just spent our mini-moon at Ballynahinch Castle, staying from the 2nd-4th of June. The hotel was fantastic and just what we needed after the hectic run up to the wedding. The setting of this hotel is idyllic, set in its own grounds with a beautiful lake and river. We stayed in one of the Luxury rooms, which was very... More

Driving to the castle was a wonderful adventure and when you drive into the castle gates onto the vast beautiful property excitement was flowing. The grounds include rivers, lakes, abandoned castles, beautiful walking paths. The castle itself was beautiful and not too big. The staff really could not have been nicer to us and helped in every detail possible. The... More

You will have two impressions right away. First, it is pretty much in the middle of nowhere; we took the "back road" off of the main highway, which consisted of a one-lane two-way winding road, so if you are not sure of your driving find the main entrance. Secondly, don't be deceived by what they call the "lobby", which consists... More

Dear visitor, I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay so much and discovered that a visit to Connemara is worth the journey. The hotel lobby is indeed the hall of the house built in 1756, I am delighted that you had time to explore the estate. Do come and visit again soon. Patrick More

We went here on our honeymoon and it was well worth the expense. We had one of the smaller rooms but by small I mean to say we had a king sized bed, desk, dresser, love seat, two chairs and plenty of room to walk around. The staff was accommodating. The grounds are gorgeous and there is no lack of... More

Warm friendly and old. I would not call this a Castle is you have been to Dromoland Catle however it has a spectacular setting and right on a beautiful river with typical old stone bridges. Lovely walks and the breakfasts great. Had a meal in the pub which was excellent . Happy caring staff I would go back
