We had a lovely relaxing stay at the Hotel, which is in the heart of Connemara. We had been previously, but just for lunch and always said we would go back and stay. It is a family run Hotel and Mary made us very welcome. The staff could not do enough for us, we had a lovely warm welcome from Patricia... More

We went for a celebration meal here on the 4th September, 2011. My son had completed the half - Ironman Ireland and we were greated with a big welcome. We were a party of 8 adults and three small children. The children were welcomed and had a wonderful time. The steaks were the best anyone had tasted for a long... More

We originally stayed here in September 2008. On our return in April 2011 we were warmly welcomed like old friends! This is a small, modern, 3 star family run hotel on the edge of the village of Carna in the heart of Connemara. It's open all year, bar a few days at Christmas. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable, the... More

This quite hotel is located in a beautiful part of Galway and not over run with tourists. The scenery is fabulous with great walks. Make sure to visit the hotel Craft shop in Glynsk for a great selection of Aran Sweaters at prices well below that charged in Dublin or elsewhere. More

I was traveling with a large group and everyone agreed that Carna Bay Hotel was a special stop on our trip. The staff were extremely friendly and personable. The quiet and quaint Connemara Coast is often overlooked by tourists, but it should be considered a must see by any travelers who wish to see the real Ireland. The Connemara Coast... More

The owners and staff at the hotel are wonderful. They were so helpful and provided many helpful tips to us as we explored Connemara. The rooms were a nice size and the hotel pub and restaurant served great meals. We would stay here again without hesitation! More

We would highly recommend this hotel as a good base for sightseeing in the beautiful Connemara. We visited the spectacular Kylemore Abbey, the Sky Road at Clifden. Next time we would arrange a trip to the Aran Islands. The coast line in this area is rugged and spectacular, full of rocky inlets and magical light. The hotel is comfortable and... More

Do take your dog if it is well behaved. Do take a healthy appetite - the food is excellent, and perfectly cooked vegetables, generous portions and the staff are happy to help. They have wheelchair accessible room with a wet room and there is wheelchair accessible w.c. by the bar and restaurant. The menu is wide enough to accommodate vegetarians.... More

This hotel is ideally situated to tour Connemara. It is a very comfortable hotel with a great staff. If you are looking for a relaxing time with really good food and plenty of choices this is the place to stay. We always stay there when down The West of Ireland and have not been disappointed yet. Highly recommend. More
