We looked at quite a few places to stay in the Aran Islands and decided on South Aran House based on reviews. We were not disappointed! Maria and Enda take the time to welcome you, have a chat and will make recommendations based on what you are interested in. The room we had was very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts... More

This is a fantastic place on Inisheer. Close to the harbour, a nice and luxury room, very nice people. We had dinner and breakfast in the Fisherman's Cottage (close-by)which also belongs to the owners of the B&B. The food there is delicious.. Although the weather wasn't what we expected we had a wonderful day&night on Inisheer! More

We initially planned to stay at the South Aran House for one night during our three week roundtrip through Ireland. Due to extremely stormy conditions the ferry was suspended the following the day, so we had to stay one night longer - and got this second night 10 € cheaper than the usual price!! Enda and Maria are very welcoming... More

The South Aran House boasts amazing hopsitality. Arand drove us to the ship wreck, the church ruins and O'Briens Castle because we had limited time due to the ever changing ferry schedule in the off-season. Arand is also the cook.. and he made us declioius Aran Island crab with fettucine. The feta and sun dried tomato tart was delicous as... More

I really don’t know how I was so fortunate to have discovered South Aran House, but I am thoroughly delighted that I did, and you will be too. I can think of no better place on earth to recover from jet lag than Innisheer and South Aran House operated by Enda and Maria. They are true renaissance people who are... More

I was not really sure I want to go to some island off the coast of Ireland when we were there this summer. My sister did so... we went. It was amazing. The ferry boat ride past the Cliffs of Moher and Dumbledoor's spire, the austerity and sense of timelessness, the old towers and castles, the miles of stone fences,... More

is what the Fisherman's Cottage and South Aran House could be referred to. Placed in the idyllic setting of Inishere, the smallest and most beautiful of the Aran Islands, this B & B is a place for ultimate relaxation. The food is amazing, the host and hostess are absolutely wonderful, and the rooms are beautiful. I am already looking forward... More

I totally agree with the two other reviews -- "Complete and Utter Comfort" and "like staying with old friends". The rooms are fresh, clean, comfortable. The B&B is situated on a lovely spot and the scenery and views are spectacular! Maria and Enda are indeed the nicest people imaginable. I am going back again in 2010 and I will definitely... More

I stayed at the South Aran B&B in what must be the most "off" of "off season" times...January. Hosts Maria and Enda Conneely were fantastic, picking me up at the ferry and attending to my every need. They advised me on how to make the most of the island during my stay, and were great company during meal times. Their... More
