We always return to Lisdanar to enjoy its excellence; it is so much more than a B&B. Lisdanar is a beautiful comfortable house run by its kind, generous and gracious hostess Rosaleen. Rosaleen who cannot do enough to make her guests feel welcome, nothing is too much trouble for her. We can really recommend Lisdanar without reservation. Lisdanar is a... More

When we were cycling in Donegal, we arrived in Glenties and stayed at this first class B&B. Very warm welcome, perfect rooms, a real good breakfast and a small but nice village to visit. More

We arrived in Glenties for a set dancing weekend and were met at the door by Rosaleen and an offer of tea and cake. Lovely. Our room was impeccable; clean, fresh and welcoming. At 1 a.m. that night we fell into bed and slept the sleep of the angels. A full fried breakfast set us up for a long day... More

From the moment we arrived at Lisdaner House and met our host, Rosaleen, we knew that this was a very special place. The warm welcome we received on our arrival, along with a tray of tea and delicious home-made buns, was the beginning of a wonderful week with first-class hospitality. The house itself is modern, spacious, pristine and comfortable, with... More

Glenties is in a great spot to explore the surrounding area. Rosaleen is very helpful in suggesting places to visit and the best way to get there. Her restaurant recommendations were spot on. The room was great, plenty of coat hangers and space in the wardrobe, and the breakfast fantastic. The home made rhubarb jam in particular was delicious. Thank... More

We booked at Lisdanar for 3 nights. We were so delighted and happy with the accommodation and welcome that we received we decided to extend this to 7 nights. Rosaleen could not do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble and the rooms were beautiful, a fantastic place to stay. County Donegal is a lovely area to holiday,... More

From the moment Rosaleen greeted us at the door we felt most welcome. Our initial impressions were reinforced when she showed us our bedroom, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with several options - I had something different on each of the four mornings we were there, all of the choices most appetiing. My wife was... More

Lisdanar House is an attractive, immaculate, and welcoming B & B. We stayed in several B & Bs throughout Ireland and this remains on top of the list. Rosaleen takes great pains to make sure you are comfortable and that the details of your trip are accomplished, especially if you run in to any glitches. More

Perfect location for visiting Donegal from Donegal Town itself to Slieve League Cliffs and up to Glenveagh with a few wonderful beaches thrown in. Perfect B&B from the moment you arrive in the driveway. Rosaleens smiling face greets you at the door and your shown up to immaculately clean, spacious rooms. In the morning the ever cheerful Rosaleen prepares and... More

My mother, mother-in-law, toddler, and I stayed with Rosaleen and fully enjoyed it. Her recommendation for dinner was great, and her hospitality and food were definitely up to our very high standards. We're glad we met! More
