Myself and a friend were walking the Barrow Way. We had a late lunch and arrived here at about 6.30, tired but not really hungry. Kathleen offered us Tea and a Sandwich: but gave us time to Shower and get settled in. We sat in the sun and ate - then visited the Abbey and Graveyard next door. Very interesting.... More

This was booked for me by my wife on a saturday morning for a sunday night stay, all very rushed. As soon as I arrived I was made to feel so welcome, Kathleen made me a nice sandwich and a pot of tea which was very welcome after my drive up from Rosslare. The room and the whole house was... More

We have just returned from our trip to Knockrigg House, we were trying to locate relations in the Bagenalstown area. We were met at the train station by Kathleen who had kindly offered to give us a lift to the house. This was not the only lift offered to us by both Kathleen and Sean. After a very wet day... More

I would highly recommend this B&B. Due to reasons beyond our control, we arrived much later than planned. I called ahead and they assured me that it wouldn't be a problem. In fact, when we got there Sean insisted in driving us into Leighlinbridge rather than calling us a taxi. The room and bathroom were immaculate. The breakfast was delicious.... More

I read the previous review with interest. My experience is totally different. We stayed for two days with the very friendly Cathy and Sean . Sean greeted us with a warm welcome and a cup of tea. Knockrigg is decorated to a high standard and our room could not be faulted. The location is a little out of Bagenalstown and... More

Yes Its True! I only got as far as the front door. went inside to check the quality of the beds. Obviously I was a Tough and Demanding Tourist from Australia and too much for the Host to handle...I was politely told to leave !!!!! the Quality of the Beds was Not Up to My Standard

This is the second time I have stayed at this B & B and I loved it! I was made to feel so welcome by the owner. The furnishings and decor are very tasteful and comfortable. Although the B&B is situated on a main road you do not really notice the noise! The amenities are good with tea and coffee... More
