A very nice place, I stayed for two nights, $5 a person for a simple room ($10 for two beds). It is like a courtyard hotel mixed a little bit with a home-stay, since the family's livingroom where they watch TV is also in the courtyard shared by the rooms, but they are very kind, no English, but quite nice.... I went to Masaya to see my fiancee while she was in Nicaragua doing some volunteer work and we stayed at Hotel Regis while I was in town. The facilities are basic, but they give you everything you need. The proprietor, a man in his 40 or 50 is there all the time and is very helpful in helping you... More

I have stayed here on several occasions, bypassing ugly and dangerous Managua in favor of peaceful Masaya. Hotel Regis has consistently clean, incredibly affordable rooms, and a great owner. A private room costs only 100 cordobas, or $4, which is possibly the best value anywhere in Nicaragua. The hotel has a sunny, courtyard patio, basic clean rooms, tidy shared bathrooms... More

After staying here for one night (on my own) in 2008 I returned with my family last year. Happy to report the same low prices, spotless floors and friendly owner. However unfortunately the group of local lads sharing the next room wanted to talk through the night. They weren't particularly noisy but because of the thin (plasterboard?) walls none of... More

I visited Masaya twice and stayed each time at hotel Regis for it has all I'm looking for. Rooms are well-sized with a clean fan (they are very often dusty in other places) and a good bed. The bathrooms are a little far from the rooms but they are definitely clean as is the rest of the place. Wi-Fi, a... More

The place is not far from central park.

Great budget hotel. Don't take budget the wrong way, it's 90 cords a night for a single room, with free wifi. Fan, bed, hooks, table and chair in the room and a nice courtyard to relax in. Very clean. I'd recommend it And I'd stay here again.

it´s a little hostel with really clean rooms & shared bathroom for a good price (5$). But it´s nothing for make party because curfew is at 10p.m. But to discover the natural parks and volcanos around Masaya it´s a good place to stay. The owner is a little shortspoken for a nicaraguan guy. Can't say anything about the food. we... More
