There is nothing special about this place, but it was clean and convenient. The prices weren't great for the facility, but it was high season. It was a better value than the chain motels. Importantly, it was clean and comfortable

They are a AAA motel but they DO NOT stick to the prices in the travel guide. They padded on $30.00 and we were traveling off season. They are unprofessional and rude. Do not stay here.

very nice small motel, very clean, wish they had a pool

The Gold Star was recommended by AAA. It was clean and friendly and quiet. However, no food except stale donuts in the AM. The towels were threadbare. It is located close to some restaurants and the freeway but not close to downtown.
