We stayed here as part of a Road Scholar kayaking program and were so delighted with the accommodations that I am anxious to return. This is not a hotel experience; rather a vacation rental type. The cottages have full kitchens, private bedrooms with private baths (1 - 5 bedrooms). Large living/dining areas. Most have washer/dryer. No TV or radio, but... More

We stayed at Palm Key for a long Thanksgiving weekend. Our cottage on the water was quiet and spacious. The scenery was beautiful. Thanksgiving dinner was delicious and festive. Historic towns and shopping are all only a short distance away. Plenty to do at Palm Key with hiking, fishing, kayaking. Judy and Em are great. Would diffently recommend and go... More

We stayed at Palm Key while having a house built in the area. It is truly a unique environment where you can relax and commune with Nature. There are a number of fully equipped cottages that you can rent by the day, week, etc. with or without a food plan. Walk the nature trails, fish in the small lake, Kayak... More

We want to live there. Judy and Em are such nice people and what a dream they had and still have since 1985. They really care about the environment in a common sense sort of way. All the rental houses look great (we went in 4 or 5 of them just to see). Kyaking was amazing and quiet and beautiful.... More

My husband and I recently spent five nights at Palm Key. It was terrific! Our cottage on the water was large, well-equipped, quiet, and comfortable. Judy's breakfasts were awesome. We were surrounded by bird sounds (including a Great Horned Owl every evening), and greeted by a marvelous sunrise over the water every morning. We used Palm Key as a base... More

This is our second time at Palm Key, and we didn't want to leave. Judy and Em are delightful hosts, and helpful in every way. The cottage we stayed in was adorable and spotless. We took a kayaking trip every day, and some short jaunts on our bicycle as well. Definitely intend to come back.

Palm Key is a little piece of heaven nestled in the Low Country of South Carolina. We packed up 3 families and headed to Palm Key for Thanksgiving weekend last year and it was THE BEST vacation for all of us, as a matter of fact we are going to go again this year. The beautiful cottages on the tidal... More

We hosted my sisters wedding at Palm Key, and it was a the perfect setting. Judy and Em put everyone at ease with their amazing hospitality. Everyone was able to stay in the cute cottages and have their own space to relax and enjoy. The kayak and birding tours were a great activity that everyone enjoyed. The location couldn't have... Great fishing in the salt water backyard, or in the stocked fresh water pond that is the center of the community.
