We stayed at the Anchorage Inn several years ago. The bathroom has been remodeled and we chose to be in an outside room. We would be concerned if we had an upstairs room as the stairway is very steep and narrow. I have to wonder if it passed the fire code as it would be difficult to negotiate the stairs... More

We found this inn to be very convenient to downtown Charleston and the Battery. The atmosphere is cozy and more like home than a hotel; the antique furniture was like stepping back in time. The staff was very courteous and helpful in all instances. We will definitely consider staying again on our next visit to Charleston. More
