I was tasked with planning our annual company trip and was lucky enough to work with the fine folks at the Charleston Place Hotel. From a business stand point, the convention staff and management were some of the most stellar I have ever worked with. No request was either too large or small, and they always handled everything with southern... More

Nice hotel but needs updating. Had a Junior deluxe suite, nice and big but old furniture, old tube TV. Need to have double sinks, too small to share a bathroom. One good thing, very quiet room, no doors slamming, no housekeeping yelling. Valet and bellmen very nice and accommodating. Was able to check in early which was really nice! This... More

This is a nice, if a little bit worn, hotel in the heart of Charleston. Wonderful pool, food, and service. I had an experience here though that is both annoying and amusing. It was the week before the Super Bowl and I wanted to read online, an article by my favorite football writer at a leading sports website. I was... More

Just got back from 4 nights at the Charleston Place. Visited Charleston with my 4 sisters for our annual sisters getaway. We arrived on Saturday and enjoyed the afternoon tea, and then a walk through the market. We spent most of our time touring the houses and all of them were in walking distance of the hotel. Really enjoyed the... More

The hotel is in a great location. We walked to almost everything we did outside of work. I checked in with 4 other co-workers. We all had the included continental breakfast but I was the only one made aware of it when we checked in. My room was very nice with hardwood floor entry, large bathroom, and very comfortable bed.... Dear TheGaddys, Thank you for your recent stay at Charleston Place and sharing your experience with us. I am disappointed to read that you were not pleased with your accommodations. This is certainly not the impression we want to make with guests. While I am glad that you liked your room, I am very sorry for the housekeeping issues you... More

My 32 year old investment club hosts an annual meeting each January to socialize, discuss business and gear up for the new year. This year's event was held at Charleston Place. In the past we have been to golf resorts, New York City and on cruises. I was picked to plan this year's trip. As I have zero event planning... More

The hotel is wonderful but what really sets it apart from the other hotels in Charleston is the Club Level. It's a ten out of ten. The staff is superb, the food is excellent and the drinks are top shelf. Definitely worth the extra cost. The rooms are lovely and the views were spectacular. We went there for our anniversary... The hotel is nice and relatively clean, but I sense it is within a short distance of needing some renovations and/or upkeep. Concierge service is disappointing. We came into town for a weekend getaway at the last minute. After expressing our desire for great seafood, the Concierge gave us several restaurant options, but neglected to mention the Oyster seafood festival... More

Dear SWMinmetroNYC, Thank you for reviewing your recent stay at Charleston Place. While I am glad you shared your experience, it is always difficult to hear that one of our guests left disappointed. Our concierge team works hard to give thoughtful suggestions based on our guests needs. I am sorry that you were not pleased with their recommendations. You will... More

A group of 30 of us met for three days in the hotel. Overall a very good experience. The hotel is elegant and has retained some of its charm from days gone by. Service is excellent, and the meals we ate in the hotel were very good. The rooms are well appointed and clean. I would not hesitate to recommend... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel but for the price, we expected a little bit more. First of all, the location is absolutely perfect! Couldn't ask for more and this is a real bonus. The spa and pools are gorgeous. We spent some lovely evenings sitting under the stars by the pool. Very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. The... More
