Enjoy a romantic and relaxing stay in a beautifully restored 1732 manor house, amidst open bean ceilings, random width floors and walk-in fireplaces. One can read and relax, play the Steinway piano and view the beauty of nature while walking on the nearby trail. Enjoy early morning coffee while sitting on the wrap around porch. A delicious gourmet breakfast is served graciously in the Great Room or on the patio overlooking the pond. There is a 24 hour snack and beverage bar. In less than a 5 minute drive one can be downtown historical West Chester, with its cute shops and over 20 great restaurants. This location provides a close getaway to the Brandywine Valley Attractions, such as Longwood Gardens and Winterthur. Take a sip and taste tour at the local wineries. In less than an hour's drive one can find themselves in historical Philadelphia or Amish country. After a fun day, come home to a comfortable king or queen bed in one of our pretty welcoming guest rooms.

Our friends had never stayed at a bed & breakfast before this weekend. We treated them to an overnight at Folke Stone and what a treat it was! We were in town to visit Longwood Gardens for an illuminated fountain show. Our timed tickets were for 6:30 so we planned to arrive at the inn by 5:30. We were a bit traffic delayed so we called Marcy to let her know. She and Walt were so thoughtful! They quickly met us and gave us keys, gave a brief orientation, and sent us with directions to Longwood. In the morning, they prepared a delicious breakfast with outstanding coffee. They even gave us a thorough tour and full history of the house and its restorations. We appreciated their flexibility with our arrival time and our payment the next morning rather than at arrival. They also allowed us a one night stay instead of their preferred two night minimum on weekends. At breakfast, Marcy & Walt both sat with us for a friendly visit. Our friends could not stop talking about how comfortable and totally charmiing the whole experience was for them! We highly recommend a stay with Marcy & Walt at Folke Stone!…

You are greeted with a smile, which is wonderful. Marcy and Walter were so friendly and warm. The Inn is so beautiful inside and out. Listening to Marcy talk about the history of the house was so intriguing. This place is wonderful! you don’t want to stay anywhere else when you are in the West Chester area.

To unwind and refresh after a hectic holiday season, I gave my wife a Decompression Weekend at this historic B&B as a Christmas gift. It is less than an hour from our home, but we felt as though we were on vacation and kept forgetting that we were still in suburban Philadelphia. Marcy opened the front door for us before we could knock and welcomed us. She gave us a tour with the history of the house, made us feel at home, and recommended dinner and sightseeing spots. She also made us two delicious breakfasts, while Walter built fires in the fireplace during breakfast and whenever we decided to curl up on the couches and read. The Rose room is spacious and comfortable with a king bed. Snacks and beverages were always available in the kitchen. Robes were appreciated, since the private bath is directly across the hall. Marcy and Walter sitting with us for breakfast and telling us about their family and hearing about ours personalized our stay. Conveniently located for a day of exploring West Chester Borough which is what we did; Brandywine Valley sights such as Longwood Gardens and Baldwin Book Barn also nearby. Totally, a lovely, relaxing weekend. …

We were in town for a few days to attend a world premier of a friends new musical. The hosts Marcie and Walter were very friendly. Marcie, a former nutritionist, made some great breakfasts. There was time in our schedule to talk to them and another guest, Will and his wife, during breakfast. That was a treat. Another guest in the house was out early to attend a nearby lacross meet. A wonderfully restored house. You could see the large hearths used for heat, cooking and a social moment for the colonial family. The area was full of history. We also went off to Longwood Gardens. The DuPont estate was breath taking. Worth hours. I think younger kids would have some trouble sustaining interest but there were plenty of activities aimed at them. On our way out we went to the Brandywine Museum where many Wyeth paintings could be viewed in a spectacular riverside museum setting. I'd go back again.…

Marcy and Walter's graciousness was only matched by the beauty of the inn and the location, which was near so many places to visit world class hikes, art, gardens and so much more. The breakfast were so well prepared and accommodation was even made for gluten free. Thank you!

Very interesting and beautifully restored historic home. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. All rooms are up a steep staircase and all bathrooms are in the hall. The Jenny Lind room is quite small and the bathroom was tiny. Breakfasts were good, we were the only guests for 2 of the 3 nights. The B&B was about 10 mins. outside of West Chester, so we ended up doing more driving than we had planned on. Overall, a good base for exploring the Brandywine.

My wife and I stayed here for my birthday trip to Longwood Gardens and were impressed with the very comfortable historic nature of the home and the welcoming hosts at Folks Stone. We stayed in the room with the king bed which was neat cozy and even had two robes. We were there on a quiet Sunday evening to Monday and were the only travelers there that early in the week. The breakfast was stellar and I even got a birthday surprise

My husband and I stayed at the 1732 Folke Stone B&B for two nights. The owners were were wonderful, so friendly and told us a lot about the house's history. We really enjoyed chatting with them and hearing about their facility. The living room is incredible with beautiful exposed beams and a cooking hearth. I got a real feel for what the house would have been like in it's early days. We stayed in the Rose room which had a very comfortable king size bed. Our private bath was right across the hall and easily accessible. Breakfast was very nice with fruit, fresh made pastries, and eggs. Everything was delicious and plentiful. We very much enjoyed our stay at this unique B&B and would highly recommend it as a great way to step back into history.

We had a lovely stay at this b&b.They have 3 rooms which can accommodate 2 in each room. It has been refurbished to reflect the 1700's. The owners were so very nice. Marcy and Walter made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfasts were astounding. Well more than we could eat. They even let us heat up leftovers one evening when we didn't have time to eat when we were out. Anything to keep us happy. I would definitely come back here again. Also each room had its own bath.
