This is Steve McNaughton, owner of Chestnut Hall. My wife Tina and I have run Chestnut Hall Bed and Breakfast since 2003 and loved this experience of meeting and hosting so many wonderful people from literally around the world. In December 2012, we made the decision to retire from the business and enjoy the house just for ourselves. Thank you... More

My wife and I recently stayed at this Gold Star Inn. The hosts, Steve & Tina, treat you as if you were a member of the family. The Inn itself was truly jaw dropping in appearance, and you truly felt as if you were living in period times. You are treated to one of the finest breakfasts of all time,... More

We recently stayed for three nights at Chestnut Hall in the Mohogany Suite. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and served in the lovely dining room. The hosts, Tina and Steve, always gave hints on touring according to our likes and interests. We would reccommend Chestnut Hall to anyone touring the Gettysburg/New Oxford area... More

This was my first B&B and I don't think any place can ever even match it let alone top it! I reccomend this place to everyone! Steve and Tina are the nicest people you ever want to meet. Their attention to detail in the B&B is absolutely unbelievable. And their cooking, phenomenal! They make you feel so comfortable and you... More

From the beautiful home and room to the amazing chestnut stairwell and the beautiful and comfortable room; we had a very pleasant stay. The hospitalitiy was warm and friendly with beverages and treats awaiting us on our arrival. The breakfast was superb. We were pleased we chose to stay here rather than in Gettysburg. The surroundings and ambience was much... More

My husband and I and my sister and her partner spent the night at Chestnut Hall Bed and Breakfast. Since it is just outside of Gettysburg, we thought there would be less traffic and would be quieter than right in Gettysburg. None of us had been there before and you alway wonder what you are getting yourself in for. We... More

Tina and Steve make you feel welcome the minute you walk through the front door. The home is warm and cozy. Steve's breakfast each morning is "over the top" wonderful. They leave snacks out for their guests every afternoon. They are gracious hosts that make you feel like family!

My husband and I stayed at Chestnut Hall for 2 nights in the Walnut Room in October. The house is beautiful and spotless with period antiques, fine china, and luxourious linens - yet not "stuffy" - it is actually very homey and served as a wonderfully relaxing retreat from touring gettysburg. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. On our first day,... More
