This was our 3rd stay at Kennett House. Each time, there was a new owner. The high standard of a warm welcome, comfortable room, made-to-order breakfast, and attention to detail is still being maintained.

What a beautiful stay. Spent my 50th birthday with the most charming, calming, lovely lady who made a killer breakfast. She does everything right. Her home becomes yours and is absolutely magnificent and impeccably spotless. The bed was the best!

Pros: Good location for sightseeing in the Brandywine Valley Good breakfast,hostess goes out of her way to satisfy your tastes. Cons: Beware: the Brandywine bedroom does not have direct access to its own bathroom which is"adjacent"meaning you have to go out in the hall to get there. The beautifully-cared for 1912 home is an excellent choice for visiting the Brandywine Valley. Beautiful house in walking distance from centre of town. The downstairs area has lovely reception rooms available to guests and all are framed in warm chestnut (floors, doors, windows etc) from when the house was built over 100 years ago. This historic house is beautifully restored and full of period furnishings. The Longwood Suite was incredibly comfortable - lots of pillows, a separate sitting room with sofa, soft chairs in the bedroom, bathrobes, nicely stocked bathroom. Gilja, the innkeeper, is a sweet, highly intelligent person who warmly greets you and makes you feel at home. She cooks a wonderful breakfast!

Lovely, perfectly located stone house full of beautiful oak woodwork with a nice shady wrap around porch.
