Just spent a week here, me, my husband, 19 year old son, 4 year old son with special needs and 4 month old foster child, oh and Murphy the whippet! Accommodation with a difference, donot book if expecting 5* luckury but if used to carravanning/camping then this is great. Very comfortable and the indivdual 'rooms' work well. We had the... More

I have only just returned from a weeks holiday at the SK2 in Hayle and the one word that sums up the whole holiday was 'wonderful!!'. My partner, two sons (age 6 and 4), my parents and myself enjoyed the whole carriage and stunning safe enclosed garden to ourselves and enjoyed every minute of our holiday. My eldest son said... We absolutely fell in love with this quirky holiday home, it is a perfect getaway! The moment we arrived we were smitten. From the flowers in every room, to the wine, apple juice & cake left by our proprietors; we just adored it. No matter that it was a bit cramped and that it rained most days; nothing could dampen... I first came several years ago with my sisters and their children and have since revisited several times with friends and family. Our children love the swings and being able to walk to the shops. The trip to St Ives on the train is beautiful and at the end of the day you can close the gates and sit in... More

We have stayed there with our dog several times now because we like it and the area so much. The large gated garden is ideal for dog and car. It also has swings for children. The accomodation is clean, comfortable and unusual. On arrival we have always found some milk in the 'fridge and tea, coffee and sugar to get... More

A wonderfully restored railway carriage with all the mod-cons needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. You don’t have to be a train enthusiast to stay here, but if you are the railway line is right next to the carriage (it doesn’t disturb though!) and there's even a viewing platform at the end of the train. We stayed in the... More

We stayed here over Christmas. It was lovely. Hayle is a good location for arriving by train and exploring the Cornish coast. The carriange is equipped with a proper kitchen and bathroom, so it feels like luxurious camping. Highly reccomended.

We travelled from London to Hayle by train and it was the easiest holiday accomodation we have ever found..just off Hayle station. We holidayed as an extended family including 2 dogs who all thought the sk1 and sk2 were fantastic. We had everything that we needed for a brilliant holiday. There is ample secure parking and the garden is fully... More

Great place to stay with easy access to pretty much all of SW Cornwall. Catch a train along to penzance or St I'ves for a great day out. Great local amenaties in Hayle, you must pop into Philps for a pastie. Paradise park a great day out too. SK2 has everything you could need, even if you're not a train... More

A converted railway carriage standing in an enclosed garden just yards from Hayle main railway station. Each room is a compartment and the coach makes a great basic base for exploring the many places that the area has to visit. Carriage was clean, no contact from owners at any stage but milk and flowers on arrival. Beds were a bit... More
