We have stayed here a few times, in a couple of cottages and also in the Glampod. The welcome is always second to none, and the accommodation is homely and cosy. I cannot recommend it highly enough - if you want a proper family holiday with space for both adults and children, with amenities and views and a sense that... More

Lovely quiet relaxing week at Mayrose, we will be returning in September. Jane could not have been more hospitable and friendly. We usually stay in hotels but in our cottage we found we had all the comforts of a hotel room but a lot more space! Bed was lovely. It was still warm enough to sit outside and eat in... More

When we arrived in the Glampod it was in a far field away from anyone else which was amazing. There was lots of space and freedom for our 3 children to run around. After our second day we came back from the beach and noticed some of our belongings had been moved around. As it is a tent we had... More

As owners of this site we always respect our guests' privacy, only requesting entry if we feel it is necessary, due to concerns about the care being taken of our properties or occasionally to water the plants during the summer, as the potted plants have no irrigation. In these circumstances we will occasionally quietly check on the situation before approaching... More

We spent a week in Mayrose Farm at the start of the school holidays this year. We are regular holiday-goers to Cornwall and Mayrose ranks as one of the best, if not the best, place we have taken our young kids. The outdoor heated pool is excellent, and the boys were always in it at very opportunity, even when they... More

It was our first time in Cornwall and our first cottage holiday with kids and we LOVED it. The place is absolutely charming and the cottage (Crowgy) was comfortable enough to compensate for 2 days of horrible weather. The kids loved feeding the animals and running around the garden. The wind was rather cold for July but we managed to... More

We stayed here for a wedding in May 2012, in one of the cottages. The location is beautiful, the owner helpful and friendly without being interfering! The cottage itself was very rustic - kitchen quite well supplied for a self-catering place, but some attention to the finer details might pay benefits - eg the shower had not wall fitting so... More

Thankyou for your review. Although, Cuthan Cottage does not have a shower! It is just a shower head to to aid hair washing etc. you will have noticed not only the lack of wall fitting, but also a lack of shower curtain. But I do agree with the towel rail complaint, which will be replaced. More

We stayed in one of the cottages for a friend's wedding on 26-05-12 and cannot recommend this place highly enough. The setting is just beautiful, the owners were helpful and welcoming. The cottages are all restored and furnished to a good standard, if there is a problem the owners are usually around and quick to help out. My wife and... More

Not sure where the negative comment came from. We were able to look in all of the cottages, and like ours they were well maintained, clean and tidy. They are country cottages with character, not modern souless boxes. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful, the owners very pleasant, and the walk down to the lake was lovely, if you go... More

Brilliant place for children, safe rural environment, we had a great few days in the early spring weather. The little ones fed animals and explored the fields, evenings spent in cosy cottage with log fire.We enjoyed the beaches nearby and Eden Project. Everything was clean and well presented. Booked for next year...

Have been going to Cornwall and staying in cottages, beach houses and appartments for the last 15 years and without a doubt this is the worst standard of accomodation ever experienced. The cottage was very dirty and in a poor state of repair, furniture damaged, dishwasher door broken, fir blanket stuffed between the cooker and the dishwasher and exposed wiring... More
