We are fairly regular visitors to this hotel. We first went to a wedding here 12 years ago and were so impressed that we got married here ourselves 10 years ago. It was such a special weekend and we stayed overnight in the sister hotel The Warren Lodge across the road. The food was fantastic, the staff brilliant and the... More

As I always say to all the people that write reviews on here thank you. It is great once again to get a pat of on the back for our hard work. We are very proud of our team and what they do. The chef works hard to send out piping hot delicious food. The bar and waiting team work... More

Super location, olde worlde hotel. We have eaten here before but stayed at sister hotel 200m away by river. Good size bedroom but decor very tired, bathroom was good size and well fitted out. Downside was that the chair in the room had a terrible stain on it, couldn't tell what but it wasn't nice. Food again was excellent, the... More

Thank you for your review. I have had a look at the chair in the room you stayed in and you're right; somebody has spilled something on there and this chair has now been removed and replaced. We were busy on the night of your stay and it is nice to hear that the staff worked hard and managed to... More

Stains on sheets although clean not come out in the wash so should have been binned. Dusty carpet not cleaned behind doors. Shower not clean that pinky residue you get in showers when not cleaned regular enough. Shower... More

This should be a quaint hotel and it could be. At the moment it is a dirty old has been. The bar is a relaxing area and that is where the compliments stop. I stayed in a cupboard under the stairs that had been sold to me as a single room with En-Suite. The En-Suite was true but the room... More

I am so sorry you had such a problem with your TV. As I recall we fixed it once and then when the TV was turned off the channels disappeared again. We have since had an engineer out and this problem has been resolved. I did take 1 nights accomodation off your bill for the inconvenience. I would have much... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights as it was easy for us to get access to a number of historically significant places from this location. We were not really expecting much as we had heard it was a little run-down. We chose it for its location more than anything else. We were surprised however. The staff were delightful... More

Let me start this response by appologising for not compensating you for your lack of boiling hot water.
