We have definitely found our new place to stay when visiting relatives in Reedsport. The Winchester Bay Inn is only 2 - 4 minutes south from Reedsport so its very convenient for visiting family. This is a nice spot to stop. You can go crabbing right at the docks. The harbor is like 2 blocks away. You can see them from the room we were in.Room was clean. 1) Room view of the lake is very overstated. There is so much distance between the room and the lake and we had 3 large bushes right outside our door blocking any view from the downstairs room we stayed in (#18). 2) You could hear every noise through the walls/ceilings/floors from surrounding rooms. My room was very clean. I was offerd a varity of very well priced rooms. I had a great view of the bay. And it was walking distance to resturants and a few minute drive to crabbing deck. Found this little gem of a motel just off highway 101 on a quaint fishing haror. It was the 1/3 the price of the nearby chain hotel but was closer to all the area attractions like fishing, crabbimg, dune buggying. evening entertainment. But, when we arrived home, the proprietor phoned and accused us of smoking in the room. Neither of us smokes cigarettes or anything else. It was a little strange.
