I have been coming to The Nines for my birthday every year since I was 20. I am 23 now but I also stay for any random Portland trips I do. I LOVE staying here. When I go to other "4" or "5" star properties, you bet I am always going to be comparing my staying experience to that of... More

I've been many times for work. Finally got to go with the missus. This is a great spot for a couples retreat in Portland. The decor is fitting, the service is always super and the rooms are very comfortable. Easy access to good shopping and a quick car ride from great hiking and trendy parts of Portland. The Nines is... I travel often to business hotels, so like it when the whole package comes together under one roof! This had a cool lobby / bar, amazing steak restaurant and great rooms. Whilst the american tradition of two queen size beds in a room puzzles me - it makes the room spacious for sure! It's one of Starwood's Luxury collection -... More

I feel like I have snuck away to Paris when staying in these French blue and white rooms with plush linens, pillows and robes. The room service is special. The roof top restaurant with phenomenal views and decks feels like being on an ocean liner and their appetizers are fabulous to make a meal out of. The hotel and parking... More

It's hard to not write a raving review of this hotel, but I just wasn't blown away like I expected to be. The pros: *Fabulous location. I mean literally steps from the heart of downtown Portland (and of course Portland's landmark Macy's). Can't get any better. *Departure is a GREAT bar that locals love visiting, and Urban Farmer is also... More

Thank you for providing such detailed feedback regarding your recent stay with us. I appreciate your constructive perspectives. I assure you that this is not typical of the Nines service culture and I have discussed these issues with our Engineering and Housekeeping teams. Your comments are very helpful and will provide an excellent learning opportunity for our associates. We would... More

Stayed one night a couple of weeks before Christmas and it was busy.Got a package through a daily deal site. Great location since it within walking distance to Pioneer Place and many restaurants. We visited the club room which was fairly small and also busy. It had good snacks and drinks for free. We were hoping to get a room... More

I ended up getting married at this hotel in 2010 and it was lovely. There was some miscommunication with the room arrangements but they went to great lengths to make it right on the happiest day of our lives. Otherwise, it's wonderful. Our room was incredibly quiet and comfy and all of our guests mentioned how much they loved this... More

My wife and I took a long week-end in Portland and greatly enjoyed the food and accessability in the City. The Nines is located right in the center of downtown with very easy access to everything. The free downtown light rail was great. The hotel was fun and active with a roof-top bar with lots of action and a quieter... More

Very edgy artwork and very small, awkward rooms. Also carpet in lobby filthy. While my husband has a frequent stay account with Starwood, no upgrade was available in a rather empty hotel. Calls were required for forgotten wash cloths, coffee capsules, soap, and batteries for tv remote. Very slow Internet connection was frustrating. There must be a better place to... More
