We had a room overlooking the ocean with a fireplace so the ambiance was perfect. We will definitely be back. The beds were even comfortable. Spendy but worth it! We did not stay for continental breakfast. We had a noise complaint about being too noisy and it wasn't even 10pm and the noise was two young girls giggling probably heard... More

We spent two very restful and relaxing nights here during mid-week this winter. The Sunset Motel has a wide variety of accommodations, from newer units to older rustic units. This time we stayed in a second floor Ocean View Studio unit, the newest units at the Sunset Motel. Our room had a nice ocean view looking across the road to... More

We live in Lincoln City, but also enjoy spending time further south along the coast. It was our anniversary get away and we choose Bandon, the Sunset Ocean Front Lodges to spend a few days. We are avid Geocachers and this gave us an opportunity to cache in a new area. Our condo was large and roomy. The view out... More

We have stayed at Sunset numerous times over the years for business and pleasure. We have rented one of the houses for summer family vacations, frequently stay in the "Vern Brown" direct oceanfront rooms, the pet friendly and the budget rooms as well, for different trips. The rooms are always spotless (although some are a bit dated), the staff friendly and... More

"Sunset is a hospitable place, lots of good service in the office, and the prices are right. This year (in September) we opted for Room 218, one of their "Rustic Cottages". (We've stayed in the older and newer hotel areas on previous stays). We arrived after dark, and could tell even then that we had scored the winning location. In... More

This was in the mid of Nov and we were told they could not give us the rate they were advertising on the web because the 2nd night was Friday. No one showed up on Friday. We stayed in a pet friendly room and the mattress was horrible. For $105 a night I expected better. They said if you want... More

The room was average for the price. The WI-FI did not work in the room even though we were told there was an antenna right outside of the room. I had to use the lobby connection instead. Luckily I only needed to use my computer once. That being said, we would stay there again just for the view and easy... More

Yes, the view is fantastic. If it were not for that, this place would be very poor indeed. Our oceanfront room in a building built in 1988 was clean, I'll give it that but so past its "best before" date. Very old and tired. The young woman at the front desk was not friendly, she seemed tired and uninterested in... More

Went during the winter and did get in some sunny days. Our room was looking right at the ocean. The staff was very friendly and let us look at our units for return trips. Have been to Bandon in the summer but winter it is a different place. The shops down town are not crowed and the workers love to... More

This is my favorite Spot on the Oregon coast and my first pick for a place to stay in Bandon. I have been coming here since 1985. It is still owned by the same family, 4 generations now. I find it very important to check out your room first! They have a variety of accommodations, large and small, some new... More
