We will never plan to stay in Woodward, Oklahoma again. Rooms are too high. We stayed in this average hotel for $100. Clerk told us that all rooms are high in Woodward because so many workers need rooms. I tried to get a discount for AARP, but was told they were almost full, and they didn't have to discount. Sorry I didn't google ahead, because we have Hilton Honors points and found out we could have stayed at a Hilton hotel there (location on the highway to Oklahoma City).
Average room, but with very dated bedding and drapes. Heater/air conditioner located right below drapes. Had to tuck drapes in around windows to keep them from blowing out and showing anyone outside our room. Tub area was thickly coated with some kind of thick caulking in an attempt to prevent leaking around tub... really??? One plus, nice big screen TV. Slept well, but $100+ dollars lighter with sales tax and lodging tax added on as well.
