Had lunch at the General Denver and very good food / value for the price. If you're in the area consider visiting the General for a meal. The menu is pretty basic (no gastro pub food), but the portions are huge and the quality is definitely there. Good service and the atmosphere is definitely interesting.

We like old hotels, and the General Denver is one of those throwbacks to the days when people traveled by rail and stayed in hotels in a city center. Wilmington, though, is nothing to write home about, and the General Denver's restaurant, while OK, was not very inspired. We're unlikely to return.

The General Denver Hotel is a lovely turn of the 20th Century hotel lovingly restored by its current owners. Though not fancy, is is very comfortable and very affordable. My husband and I biked to Wilmington , Ohio and stayed at the General Denver Hotel. Very quaint and homey. The pub is very popular and had good food!
