My wife and I stayed at the Imperial Hotel at found not only the atmosphere but the staff very inviting and relaxing. We enjoyed the food in the dining room immensely and found the staff very attentive and polite. The accommodation was great with the beds very comfortable and the room was very clean. I would highly recommend the Imperial... More

We stopped off at the Imperial Hotel for lunch as part of our Blue Mountain tour. The experience was very disappointing and we felt like we were in a time warp! The building itself is very dated as is the dining area where we had lunch. Our food was wasn't tasty and felt like it had been reheated many times.... More

The Imperial was once a grand hotel that was even visited by royalty, but like the British empire itself, its glory has long since faded. We stayed at the end of a long day hiking in the mountains, having booked because friends were staying there. The first shock was the price: $160 for a pub room. Had it been an... More

We recently took a friend from Melbourne to the Imperial and ordered lunch. It was woeful. The fish was undercooked and tasteless, the batter hard and the chips tasted as if they had been reheated a dozen times. The steak fared a little better but again, not much flavour. The women's toilet was filthy and the floors caked in grime.... More

I go there every year. the food and service is always great. I could not believe how big the servings were! great value for money. The charm and atmosphere is even better. Our kids were entertained by the jukebox and the pool table so we could relax out the front, enjoy the sun on a lazy saturday afternoon. I recommend.

What a pity, it could be great ! The house is wonderful, full of the past. There is really an interesting atmosphere in there. BUT it was not cleaned at all ! They have not cleaned the ladies bathroom in 3 days. We had put food in the frig in theTV room (not welcoming too dirty). We were stolen... Boil... More

Went to the Imperial Hotel, Mt Victoria, Blue Mountains for lunch on New Years Day 2013. Being generous, I would say the experience was 'disappointing', my companion thought is was 'deplorable'. The meal was of poor quality and didn't match the menu description. We thought it quite over priced, the cook was clearly using inferior ingredients (unriped tomatoes) and the... More

Went to the imperial for dinner before and had undercooked pizza. Tried again thinking I must have caught a bad day, as the staff was friendly but that is where it ended. After my husband and I ordered beef burgers they came back to tell us there were no more patties. We ordered nachos instead but the chef never got... More

We recently visited the Imperial for an evening meal and for a few drinks. The overall atmosphere is good, the place had a buzz about it which you would expect for a Saturday afternoon / night. We started by having a drink in the bar and was disappointed by the range of beers on tap, not much variety for a... More

we were lodged directly above the bar on saturday night and staying at a hotel, i expected music. there seemed to be 2 private functions, 1 in the main bar which had a 2 man band and one in the dining hall which had a stereo and their own music. come midnight, both were still in full swing. I called... More
