The location of the site is perfect if you are visiting Alton Towers. We spent three nights here during the first week of the Easter holidays and it couldn't be more perfect. The hard standing pitches are large and have small wooden fences round the perimeter, plenty of room for a van, awning, car and outside tables and chairs if... More

Thank you for your lovely comments. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us even though the weather was not ideal. I think many people are pleasantly surprised by the great scenery which provides some calmer activities after a day or two at 'The Towers' Please note this review is for Lower Micklin Touring Park (www.lmtp.co.uk) which is... We stayed at this lovely site for 3 nights, for our 2 day pass into Alton Towers. Unfortunetely it snowed heavily and was below zero, causing Alton towers to be closed! We were able to use the sites excellent facilities, they have a shower block better than most sites we have stayed in, a real benefit when your stuck on... More

We go to Splash Landings every year and have tried various accommodation including the Alton towers hotel. This was the best trip we have had by miles. We stayed for 2 nights for about the same price as one night at the hotel which meant we didn't have to do the long drive on the same day as swimming. We... More

This is probably the best cottage i have been too. They had all the stuff you would need inside them, including dishes, cups, glasses. We didn't expect all of that but it was a added bonus. It is also a 5-8 min drive to the actual theme park which makes it ideal for people travelling from far. The price is... More

First visit was in March 2012, and had promised my two grandaughters a trip to Alton Towers, so, saved the vouchers for free adult tickets, and booked in for June 2012. My family were delighted with the location and the cottage we had, Number 1, ideal as we were rather a mixed party, daughter, son-in-law, ex-husband, me and two further... More

We had a lovelty time here in cottages 2 and 3, celebrating a friend's hen weekend to Alton Towers. The very friendly owners let us in when we arrived quite late on Friday night, and let us off even though we overan our check-out time a little bit! The cottages were clean, with great TV/DVD combo, and nice bedrooms. Highly... More

Stayed here early march 2012, for a reunion with old friends. Well appointed cottages, which worked out very reasonably between five of us, although the cottage we had could have accommodated seven people. Central location for those wanting to visit Alton Towers, but not yet open on our weekend. Ate at the pub in the village, only half a mile... More
