Elaine is incredibly warm and welcoming. I came to Morpeth on a rather special trip with my 80-year-old grandmother who went to school here. Elaine went out of her way to make sure that we were both really well-looked-after. The rooms are lovely, and breakfast is delicious! Highly recommended!

I stayed for several weeks and was well looked after by Elaine. Super breakfasts, the homemade pancakes were proper mint! (meaning 'beautiful' in Newcastle lingo). Great access to Morpeth shops, loads of nice places to eat in the evening and not far from A1. I would highly reccommend staying here. :-) Scotch Lass

It's my second trip to the Riverside. It is a quiet, centrally located B&B overlooking the river. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Elaine, the landlady, is a delightful host and cooks a very decent breakfast indeed! Good WiFi throughout the house.

We were looked after the moment we arrived. Room 1 overlooks the river and is a very comfortable room. And breakfast is very generous and tasty. I recommend the pancakes. Thoroughly recommended as a place to stay.

I stayed for one night after a long and cold train journey from London. I was going to arrive late in the evening and was told this was not a problem. Thanks to the train I arrived even later than planned. No taxis at the station but one call to the Riverside got me a taxi and a warm welcome... More

A lovely place to stay. Elaine was wonderful, extremely friendly and helpful, providing information on places to go in Morpeth and she cooked a great breakfast. Our room was large and spacious with en suite facilities and overlooking the river at the back of the house.
