My wife and I enjoyed a good Sunday carvery lunch here at a very respectable price. Just as well that we booked a table in advance as the restaurant area of the pub filled up very quickly.
Restaurant staff were very pleasant and they seemed to cope well with a number of family parties dining. The outside of the building...

We went as a family for Sunday lunch. I have a 18mnth old baby boy. When I got there I asked about changing facilities which I wa told to change him on the toilet floor as they didn't have any. So we had to change him in the car. Got up to get some carvery, had a extra plate to...

We stayed here last weekend, when going to a wedding at Linden Hall. If you're doing the same and looking at these reviews thinking it will be okay, it isn't!
If we had paid £40, it would have served a function and been alright. At the £80 we actually paid, it's an absolute rip off. The room hasn't been looked...

We ate in the Shoulder of Mutton while we were staying in Longhorsley. The food was fantastic - the staff were very helpful. Good sized portions all freshly made, and was not expensive. We will eat here again when next in the area, and will be recommending to all of our family/friends.
We stopped here for a quick bite and were lucky to have arrived on "Steak night" £9.95 each for two courses and the steaks were fantastic. Perfectly cooked and garnished with mushrooms and tomatoes and hand cut homemade chips. We will definitely come again!
Visited here for a pub lunch whilst out and about on my wife's birthday. The food was excellent. Cooked to perfection, tasty and ample portions. Service was good and friendly. The surroundings were very pub-ish, but it IS a pub and not a restraunt, although I have had much worse food in so-called better restraunts. 3 courses each and 4...

Called in today for the traditional after-walk beers with my mate Jazzman and we stayed longer than intended because the lady behind the bar was so friendly and chatted to us about our walk and all sorts of stuff - we felt so at home. A local arrived and sat next to us and joined in the conversations - great...

Visited on Friday 17th August 2012 for lunch and returned for another on Saturday 18th! Excellent customer service and the baguettes are fab for the price. Good pub fayre at a reasonable price served by people who appear to enjoy and appreciate their customers. Great place to stop for lunch and easy to divert off the A1. Decor is traditional...

We go every few weeks for Sunday lunch. It's quite far from where we live but worth the drive. Really good value for money and staff are very friendly. Great puddings too!
