We recently stayed her for 3 nights bed and breakfast as our son was getting married in nearby Newton Hall. There were 12 of us and we had a very enjoyable stay. The rooms were very comfortable and the beds very comfy. We could'nt fault the service at meal times the young waitresses were so friendly and nothing was too... More

Stayed here for 2 nights while attending a wedding at a local hall. On arriving you can see the decor is dated. The owner ( I presume) was an odd character - friendly yet abrupt (perhaps moody). The room had been modernized although cheaply it was comfortable, cosy and spacious. More detail required to cleaning (needed a good dust and... More

Great location on the Northumberland coast. Easy walking distance from Craster. Very dog friendly, always a lovely welcome from the owners. Good local real ale and generous portions of locally sourced home cooked food. Well worth a visit!

Dined here quite a few times and its constantly good!! There is so much choice and portion sizes are so generous!! The desserts are amazing :-) Prices are great, dogs are allowed in, roaring fires and a great landlord and landlady who are pretty much always present and polite. Always a warm welcome in there :-)

We have visited the Cottage Inn to eat and drink on numerous occasions whilst staying a the nearby campsie. As the weather was too cold to camp, we decided to stay at the Cottage Inn. We arrived very early so that we could go walking and the owner offered for us to leave our bags in the pub. When we... More

Our first stop after settling in to the local campsite, a very short walk away. Arrived as the pub quiz was getting underway, sorry not to have entered as we did not too bad answering the questions as we ate our meal. Staff very friendly, the wee lad enjoyed the murals of the Harry Hotspur story around the walls. A... More

My partner and I booked a table here on Monday evening and when we arrived we were shown straight to our table. The food was to die for so many flavours dancing on my pallet. I highly recommend the stilton mushrooms and caramel parfait. You won't be let down. The service was great we didn't wait long for our orders.... More
