Stayed over on a Friday night on way back to the Midlands to avoid traffic on M1. Made very welcome by the owners and given a good size double room as the hotel was quiet. Dinner in the bar was very good with attentive staff and I slept very well although situated on the A66. Would certainly stay again.

Nice quiet hotel, really helpful and friendly staff and they served a great breakfast in the morning. The hotel is maybe a little old fashioned in style but i thought it was charming - and it is called the vintage hotel after all! Our room was a good size and spotlessly clean and had everything we required.

Looks quite spooky from the outside in the dark. The manager is friendly and helpful. Our room ( no 1 ) was very small, they had tried to make the bedroom look modern, but it needs rippig out and starting again.
