Stayed for 2 nights at Dower House. Were given Room 32. Old fashioned deco (only the bathroom has been done recently but we couldn't get the bath taps to mix the water at the right temperature), ugly curtains, single glazed windows (leeting noise and cold in), you need to ask reception to put heating on and it stops at night!!... The buildings and entrance are impressive but the reception and lounge areas have a definite three star feel. The staff and the restuarant standards are however much better and we had a superior room which was fine with an excellent king size bed. Dinner in the restuarant is of a high standard with some accomplished chefs in the kitchen. More
