Went to Margate to see ChasNDave the hotel suited our needs its just a shame Margate is such a dump. The room was clean with kettle and flat screen tv, breakfast was nice too. If ever I had to go back I would rebook.

Fairly basic - get what you pay for I guess but could definitely do with a scrub and a friendlier atmosphere... Room was good size and bed was comfy, albeit on the verge of collapse (Room 4) but bathroom was kind of grubby and I don't think our room was cleaned while we were there because our tea cups stayed... I booked a double for 2 and 2 doubles for 1 for a 1 night stay Don't think this place has been decorated since the original blues brothers movie was released in the early 80's or cleaned in the last year. Room 4 the curtains where hanging off there track and the bed is so old it's about to collapse... More

I was booked into the Malvern Guest House by a company I was working for after a long days work in Kent. The room was relatively small with Twin Single Beds and an en-suite. The beds themselves were quite small, but comfortable. But, the room was tidy, clean and the bathroom was also clean and of a decent size. Only... More

A sash across the toilet to me means that I cannot use it as I cannot sit down on a toilet with a sash across the seat! If I don't sit down do I just have to aim not to miss the sash and hope for the best? You should have a rethink on that. It is perfectly normal to... More

I wasn't expecting The Ritz either for £30 a night. Room fine with a nice sea view. I haven't got too many complaints but I think the service from staff was a bit too casual for me. I had an en suite but had to ask for a towel for the wash basin in my room. A towel I used... More

Thank you for leaving your review. Could I kindly point out that the band you saw across the toilet is a band that inform's you that your toilet has been cleaned its not a taped up toilet band to say you cant use the toilet. Also we have a hotel policy (info in your room folder) Guest Information folder. That... More

After a long driving day I arrived at The Malvern, not only to find parking space but more than enough for my LWB Sprinter Van!! Marvelous!! Nice friendly staff, good clean room and a great view, all for £30! My sleep was great considering I suffer from insomnia and my breakfast was welcome and all cooked fresh! Cheers guys!

stayed here for 3 nights in october. We were greated by a friendly young man who carried our bags and showed us our room. The room we had number 4 had a wonderful view out to sea. The room was newly decorated, well equipped and very fresh and clean. The young man explained that if we wanted an evening meal... More
