I think we have to get things into perspective here, This hotel is offering a value for money room. I recently stayed here and found the place clean and tidy and the staff friendly and helpful. I must admit it is looking a bit tired and could do with modernizing, but its not that bad and I stay in hotels... More

Myself and my husband stayed here for a weekend away, would not stay here again...The staff are very polite, but the night porter who is about 70 was a bit weird and took ages to let us in, they lock the doors about 9.30-10pm so you have to ring for the night porter who sleeps in the back room and... even if I was desperate I would never stay here again...I would rather sleep in my car. The property is full of displaced youths. every door in the hotel has been kicked in and I spent most of the night checking out of the window to make sure my car wasn't on bricks.

Some of the bad reports posted must be fictitious. Just spent an excellent 3 days over the Easter weekend at the Glenwood. The hotel is clean, and even doing a "Hotel Inspector" test for dust in the most unlikely places, could find nothing The owner and staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming. The small bar was open and other guests... More

Pictures of hotel and facilities looked o.k. but after seeing the hotel it is completely run down. The staff were friendly the breakfast was average, the hotel boasts 53 rooms and I think only 8 were occupied this is a hotel in a run down area of Margate that even if money was spent on bringing it up to standard... DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!! I cannot put into words how DIRTY and DISGUSTING this hotel is...just believe me when I say I have stayed in cleaner shacks in third world countries!!! We stayed here for one night and we thank our lucky stars it wasn't for two nights like our friends we met there. Indeed, yes it is like... More

I have never reviewed a hotel before but on this occasion I felt compelled to. I stayed here for one night with some friends. We decided not to eat here because my friends had already been served a cold breakfast the morning we arrived and milk that was off . My friends saw in the kitchen that the breakfasts were... More

Do not book this hotel!!!! We stayed here for two nights and thought it was something out of the twilight zone. Breakfast was inedible - and was stone cold. We think it was cooked a few days prior - the mushrooms were probably a week old! The milk was off and had to send the elderly night porter to get... More
