We (couple and 2 y old; we brought a cot) stayed in the very atmospheric and comfortable Oast House. Sean and Corinna are adorable and truly excellent hosts; one feels very welcome, pampered even. From the welcoming refreshments to the farewell travel advice; too many excellent details to list, each of which adds to feeling welcome. After coming home one... More

My husband and I stayed in the Garden Cottage in May (2012) for a two night weekend break. The room was lovely, comfortable, warm and clean and Sean & Corinna were the perfect hosts, breakfast was lovely and the location was perfect for the area we wanted to explore. You just can't fault this lovely little find - Highly Recommended!!

It's very kind of you to speak so well of us. Thank you. We do think the privacy of our rooms is an important part of coming here.It helps to make it a more personal experience, which is what we try to do in everything. More

Recently we were fortunate enough to spend a week in the Garden Cottage at Godwin House, and it was a delightful stay - to say the least. Corinna and Sean are impeccable hosts who provide excellent food, stimulating conversation, and (above all) marvelous hospitality. The entire facility was a picture of tranquility - from their historic house to their lovely... More

We do want to be included in your next itinerary of Britain. You do get around but we promise you a relaxing time again when you get back here. We can pick up on our conversations and start a few more. It was enlightening to have you with us. More

..... and host with the toast.I echo all that has been already said.... Lovely in every way. Beautiful house and gardens, we stayed in the Oast house; a quirky and unique room, warm and womblike with the sumptuous bed of many duvets. And sleeping amongst woven wall hangings and brass rubbings was really special.... A medieval fantasy yet with all... More

It was intriguing to meet travellers in an antique land. We enjoyed your love of all things Neolithic and comparing notes on places visited. Can't promise stone cutlery and auroch sausages next time but we hope you'll come again anyway. It was great fun to meet you and your very lively Mum, and an honour to meet Dad the D... More

We didn't expect room service in a B&B but the delicious home-made cake and tea that was brought to our room on arrival certainly hit the spot! We stayed when it was quite cold and discovered when we returned from dining out that extra blow heaters had been put in bedroom and by bathroom as well as hot water bottles... More

We gave extremely short notice and were thrilled to be able to stay at Godwin House; a wonderful, authentic establishment with a very warm, familial and friendly atmosphere. The short hop from Folkestone after a long drive through France was hugely appreciated, so a massive thumbs up for Channel Tunnel travellers. Godwin House is superbly located, thus ruling out the... Just what a B&B should be .Both rooms were interesting and well appointed and we were welcomed very warmly. It was good to have fresh milk for tea & coffee in our rooms. Breakfast was a good combination of healthy and not so healthy options!,which we enjoyed in the main house overlooking Sean & Corinna's lovely garden .Certainly worth visiting... More

We enjoyed meeting such an interesting family - it was a real pleasure to have you... and we loved the slogan you instantly suggested. We may use it for our publicity - The oast with a boast. The cheque's in the post. We hope you'll come again and see the garden when it's blooming. More

You can choose between two luxurious en suite rooms - stylish Garden Cottage or our beautiful, unique Oast House, the oldest in England, a 16th Century building rebuilt in 1740. Garden Cottage with its peg tiled roof and weatherboarding is pure Kentish style. Exposed beams and antique furniture create a welcoming and interesting space, relaxing and private. Godwin’s Oast House is special. There’s nowhere like it. You are in the heart of Kent’s history and rural life but with en-suite comfort, fine furnishings, king sized sleigh bed and mod cons.
