We celebrated my daughters 30th birthday at the castle and all 16 of us had A brilliant night the medieval feast was great and the host was a typical eccentric but Lady Annabel was a great entertainer we all hired costumes there which made us all look the part and the castle was amazing built in 1480 and very authentic

Really good stay in old Tudor mansion/castle, absolutely no mod cons but original bowed windows and oak stairs etc. Draughty in rooms so don't go if you need warmth but if you enjoy back to nature, historical places with scary unexplained occurances this is your place...I say no more but just trust in your sense of adventure and your nerve!
