I recently had to make a lst minute booking for a stay in the Southwold area of Suffolk and managed to get the last room available at the Bell Inn in Walberswick. The village is great with plenty of places to have a gentle stroll aroun before and after dinner. I was met at Reception by a couple of friendly... More

Delightful two-night break at the Bell. Really old inn, full of character. Wooden snugs in the bar and worn brick flooring. Modest sized rooms. Breakfast is really nice and the service is faultless. Not cheap, all the hotels in the area are dear.

I love the Bell. I love the staff, who manage to keep a smile on their faces, even after a Bank Holiday when they have served 400 in 2 hours. I love the care from all of them, where they somehow manage to make me feel part of the family, despite the fact that this is only the second time... More

Three days spent in the old world charms of the Bell in Walberswick. Ideal setting on the cusp of the charming village with a view of Southwold on the skyline. Interior has been designed to retain the traditions of the original inn yet with a modernised area for breakfast. Walk to Southwold across the harbour highly recommended. All in all... More

Had a meal with friends recently, it was very enjoyable. Couldn't get booked in to stay as it was full. But would recommend this as a place to stay. All rooms are lovely, clean and everything you want. We have our favourite room and always try to get this. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful most of them friends.... More

I have just stayed for two nights at The Bell in Walberswick and it has been a wonderful experience from start to finish. The pub itself has lots of small intimate side rooms and a well thought of over 16's only section. The staff are very friendly and you feel that what ever you asked of them they would oblige.... Have been visiting for years with two young children for lunch and evening meals whilst on Easter holidays - great family welcome pub with character and great food and children's menu - huge garden with lots of benches in the summer is a bonus with beach and crab catching bridge within walking distance. Really well organised for busy days and... More

Just stayed overnight at the lovely Bell in Walberswick. Fantastic food, local ales, friendly staff made for an excellent evening in front of the fire in the bar, all followed by great night's sleep in a clean and airy room with a very comfortable bed! Morning breakfast was delicious and set us up nicely for gently ambling around Southwold. Fabulous!!!

We spent 2 nights here and were delighted by the fact that the original features of the Inn have been preserved. A delicious meal served by a roaring fire is difficult to beat and the staff were great too. Good wine and beer selection added to our evenings there. Our room was very comfortable with a great shower and, with... More

Even though we had a dog the room was fantastic. The hotel was lovely, clean and everyone was very friendly. As it snowed we ate in the restaurant both nights and was never disappointed. Lovely warming and welcoming fire, superb service and a nice selection of beers and wines Next time we go we will eat in their sister restaurant... More
