We booked a meal here to finish off a holiday in Suffolk and Norfolk. The service from the staff was excellent with drinks at a very resonable price. The restaurant and surrounds were very pleasant. However the meal was a bit of a let down. The first 3 courses were ok but the fish course (halibut) was dry and over... More

This is a difficult one to reviewand if I could would have put it between 3 and 4 stars. I have had to re-write and re-think a few times in order to give an honest appraisal of a recent fabulous bank holiday weekend we spent with our 3 dogs who were housed in their outside kennels. Intimate small country house... More

The food experience was 5+ but the hotel experience was 4+ but still a very good stay. Firstly the food, a great meal in the evening and the single sitting format worked well. Plenty of areas to sit for a drink and the dining room is very pleasant and well spread out. Food was fantastic without being over complicated and... More

Under the personal direction of the Blackiston family, the Hotel operation and Michelin star chef's influence on The 7 course table-d'hôte Dinner is startlingly clear. Without doubt a gastronomic delight - in our case for 3 nights. Our preference is to stay in the Hall suites - our fourth visit over the last decade - rather than the superb modern... More

We went to Morston all for our 10th anniversary and had an enjoyable time. Check in was smooth and efficient, and our room in the attic was nicely furnished and as described. Before dinner we shared a bottle of Champagne in the lovely secluded gardens. The food at Morston is the main event, and it didn't dissapoint. There are no... More

We came here for my husband 60th birthday. We arrived to the hotel and was met by a friendly member of staff. We were shown to our room . And was very disappointed the room was to small and the out look was awful looking out on to a roof. Was not what i expected. Went to reception and explained... More

This was a fantastic experience I would repeat in an instant. We stayed in the pavilion garden rooms and we could not fault it. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Whilst I did not enjoy all the courses at dinner this was due to preference as apart from over salted artichoke soup with a basil froth, they were all incredible

We booked for afternoon tea for Saturday afternoon (probably no need to midweek) a good job we did as they were quite busy. Afternoon tea did not disapoint. First class service and quality food. First thing you get after being seated is a Tea menu on which there is a chouce of umpteen different teas, I chose the Earl Grey... More

Of course Morston Hall is not inexpensive. Our room was absolutely magnificent with a stunning bathroom where you could watch TV from the bath! The evening meal was magnificent with service to match. Do not be put off by the "everyone at the same time" rule. It is done so well that you just do not feel that. Breakfast did... More
