Loved our stay with Sharyn at Loggers Rest, Stanthorpe. Attention to detail and the wonderful welcoming atmosphere make this a perfect 'home away from home'.. In fact, it was better. I didn't lift a finger! Wide verandahs to catch the Autumn sun and a roaring fire inside when it gets chilly and I have to mention Sharyn's breakfasts .. Wow!... More

Nothing like a wood fire to make the perfect atmosphere. I'm pleased to hear you felt at home and enjoyed the opera. More

Perfect for winding down, great accommodation, quiet and great service. What a great getaway-this is what B&B's should all be like. Breakfast is an absolute feast, with real coffee. Oh BTW check thier DVD guide -we watched The Vikings - Kirk Douglas, Tony Curtis & Janet Leigh-perfect with a glass, or two of Tobin Shiraz Joe Kangaroo Pt

I'm pleased you could find something to watch while sitting in front of the fire. We do have a selection of DVD's that anyone under the age of 60 would not have seen but with more up to date DVD's their is something for all. More

Logger’s Rest was the ideal place to stay for our 3 nights in Stanthorpe. Sharyn was the perfect host and cooked great breakfasts. Sitting around the breakfast table meant we could meet the other guests and get hints on where to visit. The location within walking distance of town (15 minute flat walk) made visiting local restaurants easy. Catching the... More

Stayed for one night, just outside town, look for the turning on the right after the railway line. Rooms were very comfortable and quiet with a nice communal area with a log fire. Breakfast in the morning was *very* filling and fresh, local apple juice! All in all, great hosts and looking forward to returning.

Thanks Loggers Rest for an amazing birthday weekend. We loved our first visit there so much we brought our friends out to celebrate the birthday. We were happily greeted by our lovely host with bottle of wine and cheese platter :) Our host was very helpful, welcoming and made you feel 'at home' comfortable. Breakfast was fresh, filling, and delicious - it kept us full while we pedalled on our push bikes around the surrounding vineyards. Our room was clean and a even a teddy... More

The 3 day Special is popular with guests that have the extra time to spend. We are also very lucky to be so close to the start of the new bike trail that winds it's way past some very good wineries. All of which seem quiet happy to deliver the wines you selected on the way as Logger's Rest is... More

WHEN I saw the photo of Logger’s Rest B and B on the internet it looked like a venerable heritage building set in the middle of the countryside. Then, driving through Stanthorpe, along the suburban, home-strewn, Sugarloaf Road I thought I had the wrong address. But, after crossing the railway line, suburbia stopped, we moved back into the bush and... More

Very friendly and hospitable host. You will struggle to get through one of her breakfasts, they are huge and lovely. The recreation room with its snooker table and sauna are an additional benefit.
