I don't normally write reviews, but I felt I needed to tell others how good this place was. I also don't normally stay at B&B's, but this is not like any normal B&B. It didn't feel like a B&B at all. The would stay was unquie in a way I'm sure we would find anywhere else. Things I liked the... More

The rainforest hideaway is the most unique places my wife and I have ever been. Very friendly host shows how it is possible to live comfortably in an area that doesn't have the same services provided by council as the most of Australia. The most relaxing bathroom I have ever been to anywhere. If you go to cape trib avoid... More

A cassowary crossing the road welcomed ud on the way to this B&B. Located in the middle of the rain forest the place is outstanding. Everything has been built by the owner Dutch Rob and his artistry is just amazing. I would recommend the cabin with the open air bathroom facing the rain forest. Cute leaping frogs had to be... More

My husband and i stayed for three nights in the roundhouse and loved every minute of it. Such an amazing experience to be in the rainforest and be able to relax and enjoy it rather than visit on a day bus tour and leave as the sounds of the forest through the night are fantastic. The accomodation offered more than... More

As locals we thought we knew the area very well - but we didn't know how wonderful this place was! Enchanting and magical the mix of art and the rainforest is amazing. You must go! The service was fantastic - we felt right at home and the bathroom is quite spectacular! Thoroughly recommend it and you must do the walk... More

This was a great experience. You can't be closer to nature than this. The rainforest walk behind the B&B is really cool with some really cool sculputres. If you like being in the nature it's a definite must

A wonderfully quirky, picturesque b & b designed by the owner with his [also quirky] works of art scattered through the surrounding rainforest. It only has 3 rooms [ours was very comfortable] and the guests who were there when we were, were really interesting and we lingered over breakfast for some time talking to them each day. Rob was away... More

If you love nature and can do without your phone, TV, PC, hairdryer etc for a few nights..... do yourselves a favour and stay here. We were lucky enough to get to enjoy just one night of paradise here recently and we will always treasure the memory. This is a very special place indeed and Rob has created it with... More

Our stay here has been excellent on August the 9th for three days. The location is very good, in the rainforest, with a very original trail with nice sculptures made by Rob ( right now, when we go out for a walk in the forest, we miss the sculptures!), a friendly host who made us feel very comfortable. Sorry I... More

This is a hideaway indeed - in the middle of a patch of pristine jungle... full of intriguing sculptures of our host - many of which really fit well in the surrounding wilderness. We liked the cool sense of humor of our host as much - check the funny notes scattered all over the place. During the night, one is... More

Solar powered eco-accommodation without some of the luxuries and facilities of the big resorts, but comfortable and located within walking distance of beach, restaurants, shop and National Park boardwalks. On the two hectare property there is a sculpture trail showcasing sculptures created by the owner and several visiting artists, fishponds and a beautiful freshwater creek. This place is owner-built and owner-managed, and your host is always happy to provide you with tips on where to go and what to do and book any activities you'd like to do. Prolific wildlife is another feature of this property, especially the cassowaries that frequently visit the place. You can make your holiday action-packed with the local tours such as snorkeling, jungle surfing, horse riding, sea kayaking etc. or total relaxation by hanging out on the property on the seats on the sculpture trail, or in the hammocks around the house.
