It is ideally located for exploring Herriot Country, being between the Dales and the North York Moors. It is a Grade II listed cottage set in the heart of the ancient market town of Thirsk and opposite The World of James Herriot. It is a 2 minute walk to the cobbled market place with its many cafes, pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Kathryn & Steve offer beautiful accommodation and a warm welcome. “Best B & B we have met so far”

The Gallery was a beautiful house, the rooms meticulously clean and comfortable, food amazing, Katheryn extremely welcoming and friendly, which was fabulous and in it's self would have led to a seriously pleasant stay. “Short stay at Thirsk”

Excellent stay in quirky bed and breakfast. We appreciated the little extra touches that makes it stand out from other B n B's. Excellent breakfast and in centre of town. There was no problem to leave bikes in secure location in the house and there was a huge array of information available if you wanted to choose something to do.

I stayed at this lovely B&B when I was playing a gig in Thirsk - can't recommend it enough. Beautiful rooms, great food (Yorkshire breakfast was stunning!) and a warm welcome from Kathryn. Thirsk is a great place to stay in Yorkshire, within driving distance from the moors and Sutton Bank, if you brave the hill!

It was a delight to stay at the Gallery - having recently stayed in Germany on business what a difference to have a lovely room, great breakfast and a very helpful host. I would very happily recommend it to anyone.

Thank you1 We are ideally located for people on business being a 2 minute walk to all the cafes and restaurants but just far enough from the busy Market Place! Thirsk is very handy for travelling up and down the country and close to the A1 and A19. Glad you enjoyed your stay! More
