the land lord was the most entertaining person iv met in a long time it was worth going just to meet him! the home cooked food was fantastic, im already looking to find a free weekend to book again. Hoping to take family and friends there, there was plenty to do in the area to keep us coming back

A lovely olde worlde tradtional pub that ouzes charm. Spent a great night at the George last Friday night. Selection of pies were well received and my Rabbit Pie was fantastic. Good service from our waitress from Transylvania/Romania and good Youngs beer. What more can ask for!

There is nothing bad about the George but Ican only suggest an avergage rating as there is nothing exceptional about it either. There is only a half hour window (9-9:30) permitted for breakfast which means the staff are about thier business whilst you take breakfast. The food is outstanding - I am a vegetarian and the selection was excellent. My girlfriend had a stake which she said was cooked perfectly. The whole menu was absolutely scrumptious. Thank you and very well done.
