My wife and I took my 90 year old Mum for a midweek break here after hearing good things about the place...what a gem of a hotel. Lovely building and grounds, easy check in as they send a registration card for completion to hand in.We had two Royale Suites which were luxurious and had amazing bathrooms, and were as big... More

Recently returned from a 3 night weekend stay at Alvaston and as always we were not disappointed. We had a pleasant booking in experience and our ground floor rooms were pre-allocated to cater for my mother- in-laws walking difficulties. At this hotel you are seated at the same dining table for your whole stay and from this you watch the... More

Large hotel with 200+ rooms built around an old house. Rooms very good as is service and staff attitude. Excellent food and entertaiment. 20 miles from the Roman town of Chester and about the same from Wrexham. Can get to Llangollen in a little over an hour

Both my Wife and myself booked up one of the Newley refurbished Royal suites. The suites consist of separate lounge with television and fire along with desk. This leads into the large bedroom with en- suite bathroom and shower. It is a beautiful room. I can only recommend it to any who wants to spoil their Wife on a special... More

Here we are, day 2 of our Warner 4 day break, our 3rd Warner experience. As usuall, a warm welcome, and great service from all of the Warner team. Room is spotlessly clean, well appointed, comfortable beds. As for food, don't expect fine dining. Do expect a wide choice of fresh, well cooked, well presented food, full of flavour. Breakfast... This is the third Warners adult only weekend we have stayed at and they do all seem to offer slightly different experiences. Common to all is the great food with plenty of choices, the very friendly and well trained staff for whom nothing is too much trouble and the very comfortable Signature room in the courtyard extension. Lacking here at... More

Did not stay at hotel but had spa treatment with use of pool and gym facilities as a spring time deal with a friend. On a very positive note the treatment area was clean and welcoming. We had a full body / facial / scalp massage for £95 for two which was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful.... More
