Since two years my wife and me make our yearly " Miss Marple Tour " and everytime we stay in this lovely hotel ! One filmscene of the old Miss Marple movies with Margaret Rutherford was made in front and in the backyard of this hotel. It`s like a tour in a time- machine because the hotel looks like in... More

We stayed two nights to celebrate my birthday. The hotel was lovely and our room was clean. Breakfast on Saturday morning was ok but I cannot say the same about the Sunday. We arrived down for breakfast at 9.30am. There were tables available but they all needed cleaning and setting. We were ignored by the staff and had a glass... More

My girlfriend's face was a picture when I showed her into our suite at the back of the King's Arms, with its ancient beams - she had never seen anything like this in her country outside of a museum. The stable conversions have been very tastefully done, and we appreciated the complimentary half bottle of red wine. One or two... More

Don't bother! The Travelodge is far better. Beautiful building ruined by cheap and run down rooms. The rooms are very tatty, in fact I have stayed in better Travelodges. There is nothing deluxe about a deluxe room. We had 2 rooms for one night and upgraded one room as we were disappointed on arrival, £175 a night for the Stable... More

A recent stay at The King's Arms in Amersham, to celebrate a wedding anniversary, was made all the more special by the wonderful reception we had by the staff, which continued during our stay. The ambience was wonderful and a stroll around the magnificent Chiltern Hills combined with the little restaurants and boutiques in Amersham Old Town was really special.... More

Stayed in one of the rooms overlooking the car park and had no sleep until gone midnight due to the shrieking and laughing of the very noisy drinkers in the outside area. How a hotel of this calibre can allow so much noise on a weekday when business travellers are staying there is beyond me. Go and stay in The... More

Peter and David pay excellent attention to detail and since our last visit there have been several improvements to facilities in the rooms and public areas of a practical and aesthetic nature which increase the quality and enjoyment of our stays. The staff work really hard to satisfy all requests and desires and are always happy and relaxed which puts... More

Stayed at the weekend and had a very pleasant night in a clean, comforatble and well equiped room. The cooked breakfast in the morning was first class and the receptionist was welcoming and helpful at all times.

Excellent in all respects. The room was very nice, clean and well appointed in one of the rear rooms away from the main old hotel. The old hotel is stunning and my wife and I enjoyed the braek from London. Amersham is a lovely place - a great old town.
