My wife and I spent a week in Patzcuaro in early May. We live in Albuquerque and Patzcuaro is reachable by several airlines from ABQ through Morelia in less than 6 hours. That's about the best we can do from New Mexico to anywhere outside of the states. Early May is the end of the dry season in Michoacan and... More

This was one of the nicest boutique hotels we stayed in. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The location was good, and the price was reasonable. The courtyard and dining room were also pleasant. The breakfast was good, and we would go back.

We really enjoyed this small hotel in Patzcuaro. The hotel is located in an old convent and the owner has decorated the public areas and guest rooms with local folkart. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Had stayed at the LCE several times a few years ago. That was the reason we stayed there again. Although I was told it was owned by the same people and I don't believe it is or it is under different management. The room we had - El Jardin did not seem as clean. Lighting is dim, in particular in... More

Very safe and have never seen any incidents during our stay. To much of a negative thing has been written in USA papers about Michoacan. I've been coming for twenty years and each time it has been great. I hope you decide to come, it's beautiful !!!

Booked a room and a suite for 6 adults at LCE based on past TripAdvisor reviews. A number of issues made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been (1) service was indifferent and impersonal, not what is expected in such a small boutique hotel (2) rooms were only marginally clean (see picture of one of the light fixture)... This was my second visit to Casa Encantada. It is beautiful, well-located, comfortable with tasty breakfasts. Every detail is well-thought out to appeal to the US traveler (which most occupants are). Service is perfect and gracious.

We stayed here for nine days and had a great time. The people who work here are all warm, generous, and helpful. The courtyard is full of gorgeous, well-cared for plants and comfortable chairs. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfasts are really good, and it's fun to interact with other guests over breakfast. The occasional visit to the... More

My husband & I were given the name of this wonderful B & B and booked for two nights. What a heavenly surprise. We were just sorry we had to be in another place or we would have stayed much longer. The private courtyard with the beautiful gardens, fountain and corners to curl up and read; the hidden treasures of... More

This B&B is very close to the Central Square in Patzcuaro. Its rooms are colorfully decorated and roomy. Electric mattress covers and gas fireplaces help to take the chill off during the cold nights. Very nice breakfasts were served. I would recommend this property.
