We have been staying at Cavendish Beach Cottages and the place just gets better and better. The spectacular view cannot be beat. It is a great spot for young families. A playground for the kids and tons of room to run around. The cottages are well stocked, immaculate, and in great shape. I would never stay anywhere else on the... More

We rented one of the duplex units in mid-July and were quite pleased overall. The cabin was very clean, the bed was comfortable and all the expected amenities were included. The price was reasonable considering it's inside a National Park, right across the road from the beach and has fantastice ocean views. Our only concern was a little lack of... More

The cottages were very clean and well-stocked with nice decks for watching the ocean. They are within the park, so it is easy to access beaches and watch wildlife (lots of foxes). The bike/walking path is right across the street. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Great view of the coast surf pounding the forever beach during our early June stay in unseasonably cool wet weather. But that's a mood of the landscape that is hard to beat. Nearby on the trail we walked by a litter of red fox pups. The mother, busy foraging for family food, was not above begging. This place is nature's... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on May 25/26. The cottage was in a nice area that really had nothing around it within walking distance, save for a beautiful sandy beach right across the street. And since this is why we chose this place, we were very pleased. The beach was fantastic. Easy access and nice, clear water with tide... More

Family vacation for a week. This was the 2nd time at Cavendish Beach Cottages. The cottage is well maintained, clean, beds are comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and if you can not find what you want just ask the office, they will have it. The facility is located within the Prince Edward Island’s National Park. You can sit on your... Our family of 4 (kids: 11 & 6) stayed at the Cavendish Beach Cottages in the first week of July 2011. The cottages overlook the Bay of St. Lawrence, and while a road separates the property from the beach, the road is rarely traveled, and we were down to the red sand beach in less than a 10 minute walk.... My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. After driving around the Cavendish area for days I can tell you this, you will not find nicer cottages so close to the beach. They are either extremely old and beat up, or they're nowhere near the beach and probably cost twice as much. These cottages are immaculate, well maintained, and... More

We stayed at Cavendish Beach Cottages on our tour of the Maritimes. We stayed in the type A cottages and had plenty of room for the three of us. We went deep sea fishing in North Rustico and caught a ton of fish, so we enjoyed having the kitchen and barbeque to use. The best part was having the beach... More

My husband and I have stayed at Cavendish Beach Cottages 3 times in the last 20+ years. On various trips,we rented a nicely furnished, 2 bedroom cottage. It accomodates 4 adults in comfort. In 2009 we got a one bedroom. Both cottage styles have a comfortable design. The lay-out inside both styles ensure that the occupant has the best possible... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Cavendish Beach Cottages is a small 3.5 star property consisting of 10 two bedroom, 1 three bedroom and 2 one bedroom cottages located on the north shore of Prince Edward Island. It is unique in that it is one of only a handful of businesses that are inside the National Park only 100 mteters (300 feet) from the ocean front and a sandy beach. All cottages have a panoramic view from their windows and deck. These cottages are reserved early due to their location and quality, plus a strong base of return customers. However June and September are easier to book (also early July or late August) and can be beautiful months to see Prince Edward Island. ... more   less
