We spent the night at Cranberry Cove in the summer of 2011 before touring the Fort Louisbourg Site the following day. It is a beautiful old house in a quiet location with plenty of guest parking. We stayed in the Isle Royal room. The room was quiet, (even with the B&B being full) and comfortable, very clean and the staff... More

Because our visit to Fort Louisbourg took longer than expected (there was so much to see!) it was close to 5:00 PM when we ended up in the town itself. We had seen the Cranberry Cove B&B on the way; it looked inviting and had vacancies. We ended up in the "Secret Garden" room, a very tastefully decorated room with... More

We enjoyed our night at Cranberry Cove. Beautiful location, comfortable beds, and a nice hot breakfast in the morning. It is located close to the Fortress. Unfortunately, Louisbourg only has a few restaurants in the vicinity, and the food at the lobster restaurant overlooking the harbour was very disappointing.

My mother and I chose this property due to the availability of a room with two beds (Anne's Hideaway), price, and proximity to the Fortress. We were not disappointed in any major way and were charmed by most things we found here. It's impossible to miss; a tall Victorian painted a strong wine/ cranberry color. We were greeted by Sam... The Cranberry Cove Inn is easy to find and in a great location for access to the Fortress. We had two rooms for our stay, each was spacious and well maintained. We had a large suitcase and it was slightly challenging getting it up the stairs, as there wasn't a lot of room to turn the corners. Breakfast was really... More

We stayed two nights at the Cranberry Cove Inn while visiting Louisbourgh and the Fortress which is not far from this lovely B&B. We loved the common areas with its period furniture. Our room (don't remember the name right now) was lovely. It was very clean and the bed comfortable. Our host, Sam, the son of the owners of the... More

The owners of the Cranberry Cove have tried their best to decorate all rooms and common areas to make it look like a Victorian Inn. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. We stayed in the Cranberry room which has a nice sitting area with sofa and easy chair with a working gas log fireplace and a King sized bed.... More

We stayed for one night at this attractive heritage inn.Very well maintained and furnished, especially the common areas. It's between the town and the Louisburg fortress. Sam checked us in quickly and also helped us with hauling baggage upstairs to our comfortable room. Lots of good books to borrow as well. Our only concern was a couple in the next room... More

This ranks as one of the best B & B's we've ever stayed in. The rooms were themed, stunningly decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely and the service was wonderful. Worth every cent we paid. Romantics note: rekindle tyour love affair here.

Cranberry Cove is a lovely inn. Very clean, comfortable and full of charm and character. We stayed here for two nights but would have reduced it to one if we could have because there was next to nothing to do in Louisbourg. The town may be a thriving hub of activity in the summer months (?) but it was dead... More
